It's a fact that Maiden are choosing to play slower since Adrian (and to a lesser extent Bruce) has been moaning about fast tempos. It's also a fact that tempos were even slower on Nicko's post covid tours.

Except that part of TFP in USA, where Nicko sped up during every fill making Adrian furious. Adrian started coaching Nicko during gigs after that. I assume that was the part of the tour when Nicko's health turned for worse.

Tbh looks like adrian is only doing these IM gigs bc he is under some contract that forbid him to leave. Bc he is always complaining about something and looks uninterested.

I haven't seen Maiden live since the gig at London Stadium in 2025 and Adrian seemed to be really into it back then...

Does this seem plausible? It does not.
It's fascinating how different people's observations are. Several other forum members have written that he seemed to be having a really good time on stage.
Personally, at the shows I attended, I didn’t notice anything that would suggest he wasn’t having fun.
He even tried to dance a little. Once, when he made a mistake, I caught a glimpse of his face, and he looked so incredibly embarrassed that I had to laugh.
None of that is typical of musicians who are only there out of a sense of duty.
Yeah, it would really be interesting to know the source of that.

You don’t have to apologize. Adrian has always been moody, rarely satisfied. But he has been with the band for close to 35 years despite that (albeit he did leave), so I think it is odd to believe he is only there due to contractual obligations.
