True, but... Those factors can be minimized with smart setlist decisions. For example not putting the hardest vocal song the band has ever recorded in setlist slot #15. Or playing Trooper and Hallowed back to back in setlist slots #12 and #13. They need to be smart with that or consistency of performances will suffer. There are songs in the discography that allow some rest for Bruce...

Anyway joking aside, Aces sounds shit and we have no idea why they chose to stick in the encore. In my opinion if you are there at the concert it`s less of an issue than tuning in to Youtube everyday to upload todays abomination and rinse and repeat the same comments from 2022, 2025,2026 when nothing will change, the whole thing is a bit futile .
 
Maybe we're seeing one of those examples where great bands, due to factors known only within the inner circle, start to decline and lose at least some credibility among the fans? Ignoring age, being stubborn when it isn't needed, being too prideful, lacking self-awareness, etc. Or simply not giving a damn - that'll do it too - and just going through the motions.

I mean, Bruce might be very involved in choosing the setlist, visuals, comics, etc., but he sort of seems to have forgotten that, first and foremost, he's the singer of a very demanding repertoire, and perhaps treats his own abilities as a given.

I'm not trying to diss them too strongly. I don't know shit about their internal work ethic, etc. - I'm just throwing some thoughts out there.

I think it's a matter of, as R. C. Smallwood of Huddersfield once said, pride and ego.

It was implied by both Steve and Bruce in interviews last year that they didn't pick Aces High for the RFYL tour, so we can quite safely say it was chosen by the office/managment, so they could do that plane thing. Now, why didn't Bruce flat out say no? I think that's where pride and ego come in. Musicians come first regarding setlist decisions. That said, musicians also need to express their complaints.

Deep Purple stopped playing Child In Time in 2005 or so, because they knew Ian wasn't able to do it justice. Aces High should've been retired in the same way after the disasters of 2022. But no, instead we have disasters of 2025 and now disasters of 2026.

Agreed.

Bruce is still a remarkable singer who can do a great job on many songs. Why on earth do they insist on playing those songs he cannot longer do justice to live?

And what baffles me is the fact that he did that with his solo band when he dropped Darkside Of Aquarius from setlists, which is simply too high for him at this point.

Im looking forward that part of the tour. That stadiums gig will be great. Btw the last nicko gig was in that big stadium from sao paulo. I think now they do 2 nights and 2 hurcan stsdiums too

Last nicko gig was in allianz parque (maximum of 55k for big shows). They will play 2 gigs there and 1 in curitiba (south of brazil) at a stadium with 52k maximum for big shows.

Edit: 1st sao paulo gig is sold out, day 2 still has tickets (aswell as curitiba).
