It’s makes me very sad indeed. Seeing a singing icon reduced to this.

Yea he is ill. But he hasn’t sung it properly for this whole tour.

I think the inclusion of this song in the setlist has confirmed something that I have known about Maiden for sometime now: the visuals/artwork/Eddie are more important than the music.

That's true for Aces now, but Hallowed is like a must-have classic for the set. It's one of the hardest songs, so of course some nights will be off. Not to mention him being sick and still doing the show. I think the song has good versions this tour, just have to check them.

Some songs are probably influenced by visuals, but for example, they didn't create one for Infinite Dreams, a song for which Bruce said (in Toronto) that the fans kind of pushed the band to play. And a new art would mean new merch.

The stage looks great in arenas but i still preffer the old backdrops and stage eddies. Everybody is using now that kind of stage. Maiden has his own style im sure they will go back to thr old backdrops. In a few days bruce will be ok. I think the next show is in 2 days

I doubt they will go back to backdrops. Screens are MUCH cheaper. Both in pre-tour preparation and touring human resources.

But its their trademark. I will be very disapointed if in the next tour they dont bring back the backdrops and the big eddie. For me its cool the stage but the feeling is that its not what iron maiden is. They are using the big screen mostly as backdrop but if you see there is no space for a big eddie.

For you. But as a part-time guutar tech I'll tell you that the stage is much safer for Bruce with screens now. There is a platform up to the screen behind drums. Before, there was a hole used for changing backdrops. Also Pyro that is now integrated in the platform and there is much less chance for something to go wrong.

Screen has much more benefits than it seems at first. Also, as I said, they save A LOT of money.

Im talking about as a fan of course. It is safe for bruce,for sure, and save a lot of money i dont know,yeah maybe having 10 or 12 backdrops its difficult for a tour and the eddies but they have been touring like this always. I read in an interview that they were thinking about bringing the plane back so maybe well see the bsckdrops again and rod said something about doing this tour a special thing
