RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

I was there too (arena) . They were very tight and Bruce was perfect (except the vocal BDSM part). Before Infinite Dreams, Bruce said that they're going to play something different and of course the audience wanted Alex. Bruce then laughed and said " It's not Alexander the Great " or something like that.
Everything was perfect. I have only 3 negatives:
1. I didn't want them to drop the Clairvoyant.
2. Fucking Aces High. It's so so bad for Bruce. The rest of the band were ok
3. I think they weren't loud enough
Did they play Kashmir, Square Hammer and Wheels of Steel over the PA before the show?
and yes!

Comparing this setlist to 2008 (Flight 666)
  • Overlap (11): Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Trooper, Wasted Years, The Number of the Beast, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Powerslave, Run to the Hills, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, Hallowed Be Thy Name
  • Just in 2008 (5): Revelations, Can I Play With Madness, Heaven Can Wait, Moonchild, The Clairvoyant
  • Just in 2026 (6): Murders in the Rue Morgue, Wrathchild, Killers, Phantom of the Opera, Infinite Dreams, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
This setlist seems to be stronger. We get one extra song, and as much as I like Revelations, the current setlist arguably has four of the top new/different songs.

Comparing it to 2018 (first round of Legacy of the Beast)
  • Overlap (8): Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Trooper, The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, Hallowed Be Thy Name
  • Just in 2018 (8): Where Eagles Dare, The Clansman, Revelations, For the Greater Good of God, The Wicker Man, Sign of the Cross, Flight of Icarus, The Evil That Men Do
  • Just in 2026 (9): Murders in the Rue Morgue, Wrathchild, Killers, Phantom of the Opera, Infinite Dreams, Powerslave, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Wasted Years
There's less overlap than I thought. I slightly prefer the Legacy of the Beast setlist (largely due to the resurrections of the two greatest songs from the Blaze Bayley era), but it's close.

Every time some tries to critique the setlist, gotta remember that in the same set we're getting infinite dreams, powerslave, rime of the ancient mariner and seventh son of a seventh son almost side by side. Those are in my opinion 2 each of the best songs from 2 of the best albums they did (certainly my favorite).
With the addition of Infinite Dreams this is definitely one of the best 80s focused setlists they've done. Ill have a full set of feelings after seeing them in Charlotte; but I think it might beat out TBOS 2017 for me

Although ATG is more loved and has reached its cult status (rightfully so), ATG was played 37 years after its release and ID 38 years after its last performance. Ik ik ATG was never played live until 2023, but still, would fans in 1988 believe you that less time would pass for a band to debut a 37-year-old song from mainly deepcut-album than to play a song already performed live from a well-received album which was followed by its live album, video, later reissue and yet another tour?
