I wouldn’t dare. Every sensible Iron Maiden fan knows (according to Rod) that “Aces High” is the best number of the night. And if the manager wanted Bruce to sing that song, he would surely bloody do it— even if it were Deuces Barely Above Ground. It is what it is.

I don't think there is another Metal band that comes close to making Metallica money, not even Maiden.

Edit: GnR and AC/DC perhaps, I dunno. I don't consider those two Metal regardless
 
Can't find it now but somewhere there was a post with a quote from Steve about reservations of doing another album. Something along the lines of it putting too much stress and pressure on him while being locked away composing?

Someone needs to tell Steve he doesn't need to write most of the songs as well as 4 solo epics this time. Do what he did on AMOLAD, write one epic and help out on songs from the other members. AMOLAD is one of the better reunion albums anyway. Plus it would be nice to have something from Dave again.

I don't interpret that response as Steve being truthful. I believe they will be doing an album, and Steve just doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag now for something that will be unlikely to see release until nearly two years from now at the earliest.

I don't think you can sit on the fence about doing another album, it's a yes or no decision given that all their future plans require planning in advance. And I believe if they had already decided on no, Steve would outright say it, and Bruce certainly wouldn't be giving comments about wanting to do an album (comments which I interpret as Bruce knowing there will be one)
 
I agree. We should not be so naive to think Steve would answer such a question completely frank and reveal the current state of affairs at Iron Maiden in such an interview. There will always be other considerations that influence how he answers.
 
From a new interview with Adrian (quite a few lately):

''Maiden only tour 3 months a year now, and we don't really record anymore, at least, you know, there is no immediate plans to. So I have a lot of time, I like to be productive. There are no plans at the moment, no.''

This is just... let's hope they want it to be in secret again, because I can't get excited about anything right now. Why would you say that you don't really record anymore? :(

He really enjoys the process of creating and writing. He's happiest when he's doing that.

They all have their reasons for doing solo projects. Steve loves touring and playing, he said maybe Bruce has a different motivation, he doesn't know. ''Maiden is incredible and a real privilege''.

He likes to play solos that feel part of the song and are usually pretty melodic.

He said Bruce is the most popular from the band, the others are not that famous to the general public.

They made the first SK album for fun. He thinks the 2nd one is stronger, although he loves the first one, it's just that the 2nd one is more definitive for them. Songs and lyrics that hopefully people can remember.

He always liked singing guitarists.

He rehearsed some songs with DL in the 90s, it sounded good, but it didn't really work out. Plus, he was focused on his Psycho Motel debut album.

He loves the sound when he plays in a club.
 
The question is: How likely do we think it is that a professional who gives many interviews would accidentally let out such information?
It is certainly not the plan to reveal such a big decision casually in a random interview with a member.
So do we believe that this just happened, by accident?

Or, if we don't believe it, then the opposite is true. They want to record in 2027 and don't want the fans to suspect this so they can work in peace.
