Is this still going on?
this ^^^^However, he can still be paid via his holding company (as I believe all band members are remunerated). They could also choose to add him as a regular member down the road if needed, but my guess is that the termination simply means he is no longer expected to vote officially on decisions.
That's all.
This is a nothing burger.
It's extremely misleading, down to the way the image of the pdf was clipped.bludbrutha’s post is a bit misleading because it suggests total severanc
My little kid brain did this once. Family was on a trip and it was getting late so we pulled into a motel. Dad saw the neon sign and said "Shoot, no vacancy." We get back on the road and after a few moments I say "Dad, are we vacancy?"I'd just like to add that, when I was 11 years old, I got this cool Iron Maiden tapestry. White design on black cloth. The design was the mummy Eddie in chains. At the bottom of the tapestry it read "Iron Maiden Holdings LLC" or something like that. I remember this because I thought this was the title of the artwork. Made sense, seeing as the chains were "holding" Eddie. So for years I thought "man, Iron Maiden Holdings is such a cool ass piece of art!" Or I'd see the picture somewhere else, like inside the Best of the Beast book and think "Oh awesome! A full color version of Iron Maiden Holdings!" This is how my 11 year old brain worked.
I'm no accountant but I read through a few of the documents and it's likely any share changes will come with the yearly filing.Yes it is all public information available on CH. As far as we can tell though there appears to of been no alteration to share holdings (although I think this would only come out on the updated CS01?) unless more share capital had been issued? Some members agreeements give other members the right to buy out shares if they are sold/retire? My commercial law is very rusty......
I don't have the time to look at or scrutinise the historic division of shares as to who may have preference shares etc. Doubtless it is structured in the most tax efficient manner possible as Andy Taylor is an accountant!
I read an interview with Steve where he said that someone has to be in the band for two album cycles to start receiving royalties from merchandising, etc. This is one aspect of the change that I am curious about. Every band is different, but in most cases that involve replacements for longtime members (Richie Faulkner, Tommy Thayer, etc) it seems to me like those members are brought in as hired guns legally even if they are public facing band members and write songs/record in the studio/etc. To me, Simon is a member of the band just as much as anybody else is and I'm not really sure how a case could be made otherwise. He is currently playing the drums on tour, he has been interviewed and appeared in a video on the official channel, unless they go into the studio with Nicko or someone else I feel like the only accurate statement is that Simon is the current drummer for Iron Maiden.
Gordon Bennett - that’s like 12 years now!!I read an interview with Steve where he said that someone has to be in the band for two album cycles to start receiving royalties from merchandising, etc.
What interview is it? What's the source? If so, please include a link or a photo of the Magazine!I read an interview with Steve where he said that someone has to be in the band for two album cycles to start receiving royalties from merchandising, etc.
If my memory serves me well the source is Kerrang! Magazine No. 306, dated on September 8, 1990. (I'm too lazy to look for my files)What interview is it? What's the source? If so, please include a link or a photo of the Magazine!

These are the closest thing to facts we have. Occam's razor and all that.
This one's pretty easy to see by how both parties are talking about each other. Nicko still plays Maiden material, including stuff like The Parchment. The band sends him nothing but love. He's constantly joking about them and complimenting them.
This is according to direct quotes by Nicko. Any claims of the contrary are nothing but conspiracies and have no backing at the time.
Again: Any claims to the contrary would need to bring some mightily convincing evidence. At this point this evidence doesn't exist.
Where's the disagreement on this? Have you listened to his performances on previously recorded albums? The man is a professional. I've also heard him in person and in my opinion he is absolutely worthy of taking over. Apparently a huge chunk of the fandom thinks so too and they were won over.
I can absolutely guarantee you that we won't be seeing many changes in the line up anymore or a rotating list of drummers. There's a reason Steve chose a drummer he's been playing with for a decade at this point.
