RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I notice that the two side screens showing the actual concert, during Adrian's solo in Killers and during the solos in Hallowed, they show the walk-on Eddie and the screen effects for the latter instead. Not cool, but it is what it is like in 1985.

Also, this tour should have a lot more pyro! There are songs (especially at the end of them) that could be of cool use.

Yeah, apparently the situation was pretty chaotic yesterday in Stockholm. I’m not sure of the details yet, but it seems like Phantom of the Opera (Phantom Of The Opera) was almost completely messed up in some way, and then there were issues during Seventh Son. Most likely, someone let the E chord (POTO) ring out too long, and from there, everything just went completely off-track. It might not necessarily be Simon's fault, although some people hinted at that, but if we take a closer look, there could be other reasons behind it. During Seventh Son, it seems like someone missed giving a signal, and that’s when everyone just kept playing the bridge part all confused. And yeah, Simon was digging in his ear a lot, so maybe there was an issue with the monitors. Bruce could probably benefit from hearing what the others are playing too. Apparently, Bruce has had trouble hearing others properly lately, and it’s sometimes led to timing issues.
Based on a few initial comments, yesterday’s show was the weakest of the tour and the crowd was really underwhelming.

Yeah, I must say that Priest approach to their setlists over the years is great. I wish maiden would do that.

I still can't really get my head around this idea that it would be such an unsolvable problem for a singer to work with in-ears, because most professional singers use them today. Today there are also so many options, e.g. for especially petite ears etc. etc.
You just have to get used to it and try out what suits you (model, mix).
I'd be interested to know if Bruce has tried that recently and it didn't work out for him, or if he just decided a long time ago that he doesn’t want them.

Stubbornness.

I actually don’t think Murders in the Rue Morgue is a good opener at all.

It was cool to hear it in Budapest, but after a few shows it doesn't quite hit the spot for me.
Weakest opener they could have chosen. In hindsight, (now that we know that Aces High is in the encore) they should have opened with Aces High to get it out of the way. Murders is not a hit, not an iconic opener and most importantly the performance is meh.

in other news (!) Judas Priest played 7 songs from Painkiller yesterday. with some other deep cuts too...
i wonder if maiden will ever cherish their discography with such depth!
Priest did such a good job. They even played 3 totally different songs off their new album. I still think they will change their setlist. They usually play all the new and different songs at the first gig of a tour to try them out and then balance it a bit. I saw them last year and only 5 songs still remain in the setlist. They play 14! new songs and most of them, they haven't played for a while. This was a festival date also and it might be 2-3 songs shorter than their regular set, because they chose many short songs

Actually I like murders as an opener. Not a big fan of the intro tho. I was thinking, before tour, that they will choose something to introduce Simon as a new drummer but that is not the best way of doing that.

I would prefer be quick as an opener or aces high.

For Powerslave it is obvious that Bruce had difficulty hearing himself and the band, which had him lose the key a bunch. Once the backing vocals started in the chorus he caught himself.

Curious to see footage of POTO and SSOASS though. Those sound like train wrecks lol

Here's Aces High, because I know you all cannot get enough of the song on this tour:

Sound is pretty shit but it seems that Bruce did a better job than on previous gigs. He was avoiding the trickiest bits on the chorus by changing the melodies though.
