What time did the show start? (I'm trying to find out more about the lighting conditions in which such screens look good). Thank you for the info!
 
It's not as if the old setup worked that much better in broad daylight, at least in my opinion. Let's not forget that seeing those screens in person is quite different than watching videos on youtube. So far I'm pretty happy with the production they went with.

Absolutely. I know from Mark Tornillo that even in the last few years he still gets comments from some fans that they don't want him as the “new” singer, even though he's been the singer in Accept for so long now.
It's definitely better to have a strategy if you want to replace a popular band member who is seen as defining for the band.

Indeed. I've seen U2 twice, both times in a stadium where they also used massive screens and the sunlight did not spoil the show.
