Interesting tracklisting on this one. I can't help but feel this should been given the full boxset treatment rather than reduced to a two CD compilation. Strange that half of the then-new SSoaSS tracks from the Donington show are omitted yet they saw fit to include four different versions of Iron Maiden and three of Transylvania.

I guess those are the songs that were broadcast by the BBC back in the day.

55th anniversary

In 1987 when promoting The House of Blue Light, I spoke to Ian Gillan on Rockline and asked how they named the new lp. He said it was named after the 1st line of the 1st song on In Rock!
