The white stripe was gone after it was flooded. It has been reinstalled during the restoration, it seems. Knobs were also gone when it was hanging in Adrian's home studio."They brought in the Destroyer, and when I played it, I really liked it. I went to give it back to the gentleman, but he didn't speak English. The translator said, 'He wants you to have it. Keep it; it's yours!' I couldn't believe it.
"I used it for quite a few years, as it sounds great and stayed in tune. I still have it somewhere. Actually, it was in a flood and lost for a couple of years. When I found it was corroded, had turned green, and rusted over.
"It was horrible, so I had it restored. Jackson guitars built a replica of it for me. So I have a soft spot for that guitar in my heart."

For the white stripe, I read somewhere that it was to hide chipped paint.
Well, since Andrew Guyton posted this...To what purpose is that white stripe after all?
That's an awesome read, and equally awesome to see such good photos of it! I'd reckon the other two he worked on would definitely be the Lado's. Hopefully he posts about those shortly !Well, since Andrew Guyton posted this...
It hides a massive scratch.
I never really knew H had back issues - only ever seen it mentioned on here once or twice.. When was it? What happened? The interesting part about the resurrection of these Lados, is that Adrian's bad back is in good enough shape so that he can play these again. The one I had weighed about 12 lbs (these are primarily maple), and his strats are about 8 lbs. Every additional pound is felt when you have back problems (unfortunately I know from experience).

Ironically I have a US Strat and used to have a Jackson H Sig model, and the Jackson was definitely heavier...
Do you mean which year they were made? or is 2001/2003 a model numberDoes anyone know if the black Lado is an Earth 2001 and the gray one an Earth 2003?
Both H and Dave use FU-tone now. Since 2024.I thought it was neat that Guyton used FU-Tone’s version of the Floyd Rose (the FU2).
Look at how big the brass block is on the 5th and 12th pictures lol
Scratch that, I thought that 2001/2003 were model names but those Numbers seem to be the year they were made. So i’d say that both lados were made in 1984(?)Do you mean which year they were made? or is 2001/2003 a model number
Thanks, didn't know that!Both H and Dave use FU-tone now. Since 2024.
It seems Philip Naslund appreciates this guitar, which is expected.
Anti-scratch. But it's embeded into guitar now. What's with the scraps of leather/tolex and duct tape on the backs of the Lado's?
