Me too. Phantom and rime like 85 and 86. It has to be only the good die youngI would say Rime is a given.

Mother Russia. Now that one would get that reaction for sure. He, also, said that fans will say "I can't believe they're playing this!" for a particular song.
I'd say there is a 90% chance of Rime being played.I would say Rime is a given.
Has to be only the good die young. Its sad but there are no many songs left to impress us. They did a good job from 1999 to now.Mother Russia. Now that one would get that reaction for sure.
Prodigal Son or Killers would fit the bill too IMO.Has to be only the good die young. Its sad but there are no many songs left to impress us. They did a good job from 1999 to now.
I wouldnt be surprised if they play killers again. In 99 sounded great. Prodigal son ...i doubt it. Its a bad songProdigal Son or Killers would fit the bill too IMO.

Iron Maiden and Simon played the TFP setlist in Portland (Bruce says they rented a studio while on tour (maybe in 2024)
Some people on the forums here have said Perth, but is Portland an example?
Either die young or infinite dreams from seventh son. This tour has the potential to have an absolute classic set list. If they play it right, it could match LOTB 18-19, GMETID or Ed Huntour. I hope they are going to balance hits, classics and deeper cuts.
All I hope for is Rime, Powerslave, POTO, something off NPFTD, and a deep cut from 7th Son and an earlier album. I would leave the venue as a happy man.
Yeah I think there is a balance between doing the songs justice not just Nicko songs, but Clive too - and I think even though it's been much longer, it's still kinda like Jan replacing H in 90' - he was allowed to bring his own style to the band. Maiden is as authentic as they come, and there is a difference to paying tribute to previous member vs. being an authentic player. I am looking forward to hearing Simon play."You cant replace nicko"
"you dont want a nicko copy"
Based on that, (and who knows if arry thinks the same) its a giant Bye bye joe lazarus.
So, Simon was on a retainer contract. Confirmed by Bruce.57:07

Just the first 30 minutes... lol. I guess it's about the songs, right. The stage is a constant highlight. Some props? Maybe the show will start with the deep cuts and then the classics, who knows. He said the setlist is ready, it's a new stage show & chapter for the band and he's excited.Bruce gave an interview yesterday and said the first 30 minutes of the show will blow people's minds.
He also compared Simon Dawson to Clive, and said that in their only rehearsal so far if you closed your eyes it was almost like Clive at times.
Apparently he also hinted at
Powerslave
He said: ''Can't believe they are playing that and that and that'' for the first 30 min. So maybe more songs. The epics? I doubt it.He, also, said that fans will say "I can't believe they're playing this!" for a particular song.
Sure, but both Rime and Powerslave, like in 2008? Idk. There's room for more epics ofc (although at least three 7-minute songs are possible, plus the likes of Seventh Son), but not sure. I hope the set won't copy 2008 (or ME tour). But if they play 18 songs, I can see it.I'd say there is a 90% chance of Rime being played.
Bruce said in the interview that this tour will be like a true greatest hits (what were the previous ones?), so I'm not sure how it could match (1993, 2008, 2012, probably), but with some surprises why not. They will balance the set, but I'm really hoping for 17-18 songs set, for more choices. I'm a bit worried, even about one song from each album now. This tour has the potential to have an absolute classic set list. If they play it right, it could match LOTB 18-19, GMETID or Ed Huntour. I hope they are going to balance hits, classics and deeper cuts.

I'm sure they will. And they don't mention it that often, rather rarely. What's mind-blowing after all these years anyway...So many times IM members mentioned about mind-blowing show, so better if it becomes worth waiting for.
True.Fewer back to back live performances are as iconic as Rime and Powerslave.
At least one early epic is possible, but I think not Rime. More like Phantom. I'd love No Prayer or Wasting Love.Im just trying to figure out what could be 30 min of blowing peoples mind
Agreed.Rime is expected by most fans. I think there will be a bigger surprise. Maybe it could be something like Infinite Dreams.
I hope not.Seriously though it's probably "Total Eclipse".
Well said. And Bruce's statement would be true more or less. 1999 and earlier too, the ''pub days'' songs mentioned by Dave.To be fair, it could be any of the songs on the 2005, 2008-2009, 2012-2014 tours they claimed would likely never be played live again though.
Along with the title track, right. Especially because of the theme and poster. If they don't play Wrathchild I'd say " I can't believe they didn't play Wrathchild" . It's the most obvious choice from Killers and it's also a pub days song.
From the 80's, we should note this. Although songs like Killers, Prowler, Infinite, OTGDY, Sea, Land, Still Life are quite a few.Has to be only the good die young. Its sad but there are no many songs left to impress us. They did a good job from 1999 to now.
Expected to hear all of this."You cant replace nicko"

i would love to see bqobd but now i think they are going to open with something completely different.Honestly, I think he's referring to some of the old(est) material they're most likely dusting off for the first time after 1999-2005 (or even 1993, if they'll open with Be Quick or be Dead, but I'm not too sure about that); Murders in the Rue Morgue is a possibility, Killers is definitely possibility and if the ~5th song in the set is something like Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Infinite Dreams or whatever, I'd say that Bruce's statement makes more or less sense when it hopes to hyping things up.
I mean you could throw one or two most obvious cuts like Wrathchild (not played since 2017) to that mix and it'd still be mostly songs not played for a very long time.
