RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Metallica is the biggest metal band of all time, however you look at it. They've sold more than Maiden, their music is streamed more, they have more hits in the mainstream. I know we are all Maiden fans, but let's stay with easily verifiable facts, alright?

Like Metallica thought they could sell out 2 stadiums per weekend and they've ended up selling almost less than Maiden?

Metallica is bigger all over the world, but Maiden is catching up quickly.

Iron Maiden's catching up quickly in Latin America and on some European markets (not many of them at all), but look at the States, here they struggle to sell 15K+ arenas. Completely different situation. By the Way, I'm wondering where they will play next year. There are no options for stadiums in the US and Canada, maybe some festivals and amphitheatres, that's all.

Not sure they will ever catch up with Metallica in the US. Not even Rammstein could.
Next year Maiden will play the usual venues as always

Maybe they play some dates in Europe too. There are some territories they didn't schedule for 2025: Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and cities they don't play in 2025, who knows.

I'm pretty sure they will play Europe next year. Not as extensively but I would say a couple of stadiums here and there + all the major festivals. Easy money.

I think about a dozen dates in July/August 2026, before South America in September and North American leg in the Autumn, Asia and Oceania are next in December, probably they play some festivals (for example: The Good Things Festival in Australia). Bruce said there'll be an extensive IM tour in 2026, I think well over 50 dates around the world should be scheduled this time.

Yes. I am surprised to see this even being discussed!
Yeah, I don't get it either. Metallica being bigger than Maiden (again, not debatable, it's just how it is) doesn't take anything away from Maiden's quality or our enjoyment of their music.

If you ask 100 ordinary people on the streets to name 1 metalband I´m sure at least 70% will say Metallica.
Ι think most people would say Nirvana, or something like that, that isn't metal. Metallica being called METALlica helps though.
Not sure how it is in the States, but at least in Germany (and probably most of Europe) there are certain songs that most cover bands of various rock genres will have in their list. Almost all of them will have rehearsed at least Nothing Else Matters, if not Enter Sandman as well. Very few of them (except maybe for dedicated metal cover bands) will have Maiden songs in their repertoire.

Exactly, and they are media-friendly and attractive for casual listeners, something opposite to Maiden which plays just for declared fans of their peculiar style.
Those two songs what started all their contact with the as you call casual. But from there to now their sound is different from the 80s 90s. They are metal but not like megadeth maiden or slayer. So i think they are in different leagues. Almost imposible for maiden to reach that level but look now. Filling stadiums and imposible to get tickets like 90s or early 00s.

Sorry, but do you think about IM in the last sentence?
