To be fair, this release was put out by the ex record company WITHOUT permission or approval from the band, and they publicly distanced themselves from it. But yes, the artwork as such is fucking awful!Like it or not Manowar always presented us with well crafted Frazetta like artwork... well almost always...
Believe it or not - I actually know that guy on the cover. Have talked to him many times. Torment is a band from my hometown and Jörn is to this day a somewhat prominent cult figure here, even though he turned into an angry boomer by now.

A fairly recent one which could be something for this thread - Wildness - Ultimate Demise (2020). Small Swedish band, reeeeally good record, but what the hell am I looking at? Robocop and a man with a bra? It's so bad it's good... Captures the bad 80's art vibe perfectly - has to be intentional.
