I came here to see if there was more information about Nicko's plans and now I have a conspiracy theory:
The interviewer talked with Nicko about the recording of a new album (Nicko as drummer), but he wasn't allowed to share that on his channel.
That's why he secretly (anonymously) made this Wikipedia entry.

Maybe maiden are planning a boxset for the 50th anniversary and Nicko is helping put that together along with recording another listen with Nicko to go with it.

He's turning 73 and has had a stroke. I'd say he has more to worry about than effects of his fillers. I'll leave it to Nicko to decide what's important to him and what makes his happy. He probably feels like shit having to step down from Maiden and attempting to regain some youthful vigour probably makes him feel a bit better about whatever it is.

Yes, why not. I think the problem is not the motivation. But it is a pity that he has not worked with the best experts.
How do we know? Because people in an internet forum can immediately see it. I know a lot of actors who just look good and youthful after their procedures and nobody here could tell what was done because the result is so natural.
I somehow hope he doesn't give Bruce ideas and addresses.

He doesn’t seem the type to screw around with dermal fillers, maybe it’s a steroid for medical reasons. Total conjecture.

You can be sure that your cosmetic procedures have gone well if some even think that they are the result of an illness due to the side effects of the medication. 
But I don't understand the posts here to mean that they want to criticise Nicko for having made this decision.
