It doesn't sound like Bruce is straining to me. He sounds absolutely massive on this track.

The Man Who Would Be King Yeah, I know what you mean. When I heard the song for the first time I thought Bruce said "melons" instead of "meadows." I was all kinds of bewildered.  :lol:

I'd have to wholeheartedly agree with that statement. Rainmaker still holds a special place in my heart.

Listened to this driving up a mountain in the rain around midnight and it sounded absolutely wonderful. The lyrics "weary limbs fatigued away/I have no life left in me" give me chills every time. It's just so hopeless.

Agreed. I've reviewed albums on several different websites for years and I have NEVER reviewed an album on one or two listens. You have to live with the albums for a period of time.

H's solo in this amazing song sounds like he recorded it through a sex machine instead of an amplifier.

Really great song. I can just picture soldiers standing in the rain during the intro. Awesome stuff.
