Why did Steve Harris fire Clive Burr ?

Partly true, as far as I can see. According to later interviews, not only he was sacked but would certainly have continued with Maiden. If he was still optimistic at this stage of the interview, he soon wouldn't. Two completely different realities. While Maiden had already embarked on world...

Complete tracklisting of every Maiden single

Loopy believed it could be from another version with Adrian. That would be fantastic, but giving the "stressful" evidences it's very likely that Maiden would never want to revisit it. Paul's different vocals parts might be from another take. This is one tape Loopy presented (i think there's...

Complete tracklisting of every Maiden single

Damn I really can't remember that one! Now i don't know if I hate myself for letting it scape or if I love my "new Maiden song" :D Thanks anyway.

Good question. The only "Trooper" versions i know from this single are the studio version and the live one in Dortmund 2003.

    Running Free

I think they just decided it would be cool to have the same "M" as in the back cover.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems this alt. mix is exclusive of the 2014 reissue. And goes on to say that Tony Platt is the producer (Discogs). He never did another session or worked with another lineup.

    Nicko McBrain

It seems the single was not recorded w/ Nicko, but by the first lineup. Sometimes you have to go to another source to avoid speculations. Not nice to know, but that's it and there's the correct picture in the video. Sorry.

    Manic Street Preachers

I didn't like the mix of styles they did on Know Your Enemy in 2000 (although there are great songs), but Lifeblood came surprisingly good with a clean Tony Visconti production. From the very opener "1985" through songs like "Empty Souls" and "Glasnost" it is a very solid album from beginning to...

    Nicko McBrain

The picture is from their 1st lineup with drummer Pete Perryer. Couldn't manage to find any with Nicko.

    Nicko McBrain

Something to share with you, guys... Just found another band from the late 70s where Mr. McBrain played! Drummer joined a rock/new wave group called The Volunteers for a very short period: May to June '79. After that they disbanded. They managed to record their only single with him, called "If...

Complete tracklisting of every Maiden single

Where did you hear Adrian Smith replaced Dennis' parts? The Tony Platt sessions on 16-18/10/1980 were the only known sessions for "Women in Uniform" w/ Stratton in the band. When Adrian joined Maiden he went straight into rehearsals in Clapton for the last part of the tour. At the same time...

    Manic Street Preachers

Great topic about the Manics. I know them since 'This Is My Truth' era when a friend of mine lend me a tape. After the 3rd listen i was really hooked. As they were not well known in Brasil (still aren't), I had to import the CD and wait for 2 endlessly months for it to arrive. Another great...

    V1

No, the lawsuit was published a few days before the gig, and right after that Terry announced the disbanding of V1.
