Vocal Covers

From what you posted last night, I think the only real thing you could work on is harnessing your accent, but otherwise the voice itself is really strong. You don't have any recordings in Estonian, do you?

As awkward as these might be... I share these! A couple of Maiden (technically so out there that I shouldn't even try them, but... :D ) tunes that I sang and recorded not too long ago when driving home from work. TAATG one is actually related to a little project of some sort, an acoustic/ukulele cover of it with some keyboards or stuff thrown in. We'll see how that one turns out, it's nothing that serious, as you might be able to tell... Anyway, I might give TAATG a shot in a better recording environment. I toyed with the never-ending chorus, trying different "tones", some of them go pretty badly off-key. The scream in the end is sort of a "okay I got to end this now" thing, I guess. :D Excuse all those whistles there, too! I mess up with the pharsing of the lyrics and rhythm a couple of times and some of the higher notes aren't even close, I also mess up with the technique pretty badly, but yeah, I'll try to practice my pitch and all with some easier stuff, I've find that CCR songs are pretty fun for that and some of them are relatively easy to pull off with uke, or even with an acoustic guitar.

But yeah, TAATG is sort of a half-ass serious project underway, not sure what kind of form it will eventually take...

Brace yourselves.

I absolutely mess up with the "God give me the answer..." part, it's technically pretty awful, especially the stretch, but yeah, there you go!
Not bad! And you don't even sound Finnish, which is good I guess. :D

These are actually pretty solid. You definitely have Blaze's vocal style down. The one advice I'd give most non-native English speakers is that enunciation, practicing the language, and using your accent to develop a unique style are some of the most important things when singing in English. On that last one, the accent isn't going away, but harnessing it and incorporating it into your style is really important. But you're already doing a good job and it doesn't hit me so much as it does for others. Good stuff!

Some other awkward takes from the "carpool karaoke sessions":

Lord of the Flies (orig.) - I mess up with the first verse a little bit

I guess the most comfortable approach for me would be somewhere between the up-tempo version and the original version, maybe.

Talking of LOTF, I've actually come up with a different approach to singing that song. Maybe I'll record it sometime.
