Love Killers always had that haunting effect, with people looking out of their windows and Eddie underneath the streetlight
Worst: The Final Frontier

Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, The Number of the Beast is my Top 3. Powerslave is probably my favorite album cover ever in general.

Worst is Dance of Death by a huge margin. That cover is an embarrassment considering the band's standards.

Surprised to see dislike for The Final Frontier's cover, I quite like it personally.

I have always loved the Powerslave artwork too, although my appreciation diminished slightly after seeing this obvious inspiration from 1978 (Earth Wind and Fire). Someone on this board pointed it out, but I have forgotten who sorry!

No offense, but everything Egyptian looks the same...especially when you use the iconic pyramid shape, hieroglyphics, sand stone colors and a blue sky.

I see both your points Flash and GhostSword. I still can't help but think Riggs knew of the artwork already. It'a very similar in composition as well as general theme :)

Edit: I am sure if the Earth Wind cover was released second, we would accuse it of copying Powerslave ;)

It's fine if Riggs knew of the artwork in my book. Even if the working title for the Powerslave artwork was "Earth, Wind & Fire rip-off", I wouldn't appreciate it any less.

Like I said, the one on the left is completely unremarkable.

The Powerslave cover is far superior, but perhaps I see more similarities than you, even down to Maiden changing their font colour. (it's all subjective I suppose)
