Ozzy Osbourne

That's awesome.

He's playing with Zakk Wylde again? Will they make another album together?

Just no point anymore. Just touring for money. Ozzy hasnt realised anything decent in over 20 years, some might say more, unless you count the 13 album..

I enjoyed both albums. Nothing great but they had their moments, Scream especially had some very strong songs.

An interesting interview with Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake, bassist and drummer from the original Blizzard of Qz.

You gotta love the world's most unsubtle elbow nudge from Bob to Lee, when L:ee starts slagging Sharon Osbourne around 4:54 LOL

You have his first 2 solo albums ... all time greats ... just fucking epic. Then 2 good ones in Bark and Ultimate Sin ... really hit and miss for me after that.

Here's a new, great interview with Jake E Lee, where he talks about his time (and dealings) with Ozzy, in addition to some really interesting Dio stuff, plus Red Dragon Cartel, Ratt etc

I wish Ozzy changed his current setlist. It just looks damn boring to me. Still looking forward to his gig in February tho.

Starting with "Bark at the Moon" is a bit risky, I agree, because nothing really matches it in terms of intensity, greatness and energy in the rest of the setlist.

Do you consider No More Tears a hit or a miss?

No songs from Ozzmosis makes me a bit sad. The albums after that weren't great but each album has at least 2 good songs. No songs from the past 26 years in a "farewell" setlist is stupid imo.

A nice interview with Lee Kerslake (drummer for Ozzy on the first 2 albums / Uriah Heep etc).

Sadly, Lee has been given less than a year to live due to cancer. Apparently Nicko has donated to the documentary being filmed about Lee's life in the music industry.

Drummer Lee Kerslake Makes Dying Request of Ozzy Osbourne

The man who played drums on Ozzy Osbourne's first two solo albums has eight months to live.

While many of Osbourne's former band mates have sparred with the heavy metal icon over writing credits and royalties through the years, Lee Kerslake isn't out for money — that won't make a difference to him now.

The drummer revealed that after all these years, he just wants platinum album certifications for both Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, so he can feel some acknowledgement for his work before he dies.

"I really wrote a nice letter to them and I hope they will come to terms with it and say yes," he told The Metal Voice of his appeal to Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Kerslake is a founding member of Ozzy's first post-Black Sabbath solo band. He and co-founding bassist Bob Daisley have both litigated with the Osbournes over the years — winning one suit together in 1986. But Kerslake said that after losing a suit against Ozzy in 2002, he went bankrupt "and then I started to get ill."

"I never managed to get back up, but a platinum certification on my wall for these albums would be fantastic and it would say I helped create those albums," he said.

Despite being the only percussionist employed by Ozzy in the studio for those first two hit albums, Kerslake went uncredited on the Diary of a Madman album.

In response to Daisley and Kerslake's early-'00s lawsuit, when Blizzard and Diary were reissued, the Osbournes had bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Mike Bordin re-record the rhythm section tracks.

Daisley and Kerslake's original performances were restored in the 2011 reissues of the albums.

Kerslake has been doing a lot of looking back on his career this year. He added that he has been working on an autobiographical documentary to accompany a new album called Eleventeen, which he hopes will come out next year.

It's a sad state of affairs. As Lee mentions in the video I posted, he is not after the money. But since he tried to sue the heartless money grabbing Osbournes (and lost on a technicality incidentally, as he mentions, due to time frames involved) I don't hold out much hope for the platinum discs to arrive at his house.

I have not had chance to watch this with sound on yet, but the thumbnail made me very happy. It looks like Ozzy / Sharon have a heart and Lee Kerslake is getting his dying wish.

That's really awesome. Someone coming to the end of their life is heartbreaking and I'm glad Ozzy was good enough to make Lee's final moments a little more bearable.
