Fantastic meetup in Vegas, gentlemen!

It was a pleasure meeting you all and hanging out on what was certainly the most metal weekend of my entire life. In three days I was able to hang out with you guys that I talk to almost every day online, see Megadeth, watch the landing of Ed Force One, meet some killer folks like Freddie from Ashes of Ares, Michael Kenney, and Chris Jericho (who I'm told does music and wrestling?), see The Iron Maidens perform a bunch of songs that I'll never hear live from the real deal, and in general celebrate in the madness of being surrounded by thousands and thousands of Maiden fans. Simply awesome.

Funny, I was standing next to Vinnie at an Ace Frehley show last January in Dallas ... he gets around and pretty much always dresses the same. Even more off topic, I saw Hell Yeah as an opener to King Diamond and Slayer this past summer, my God were they horrible.
The very reason i purposely did not arrive until right before King Diamond went on in Houston

Quick question, I'm relatively new to the forum, anyone else attending the Toronto show? This will be my 3rd time making the trek from the east coast to see Maiden.

Sorry, Archer, I'm going to Mtl instead of Tor.

@MrKnickerbocker When did you meet Jericho and why didn't you tell me!!

By the way, this was a fantastic trip. Thanks to everyone, it was so wonderful to meet you all. We shall do it again - maybe bigger and better next time!

Sunday after the gig we hung out at Mandalay with Freddie and Tom's other buddies all night. Around 2 AM some fan stopped us in the middle of the casino and said, "Janick and Nicko are over at the center bar!" So we ran over but they had both left and we ended up near Kenney and the Maidens again, who happened to be talking to Jericho.

@LooseCannon no worries, was just curious. Myself and a few friends are hittin up the Real Sports bar before the show. Was a pretty good spot this summer before rush played, had a good chat with some of their crew. If anyone is around feel free to join us!

Have to agree, was a great time.

Historically, I've not been the guy to go far from home to do a lot of stuff, but I've been trying to get out more and do more.

I have to say that this was one of the single coolest things I've ever done!!! Everyone from maidenfans.com that I met (and the two that aren't on the site) were as cool as I could have hoped for!! Was really fun seeing Maiden, they are amazing, but hanging out with these guys was the best fun and made the trip completely worth it!!

Thanks to everyone that was there, you guys rock!!

I slept for 15 straight hours last night. I might have been a little tired.
Dunno why you'd be tired :) Not like you got only 6 hours of sleep over 3 days....

Did I mention I may be the luckiest guy you know? As I was flying back into Chicago, I started to think that maybe I didn't slide shut the back glass on my truck (had it open for some fresh air on the dive up). So when I got back, sure enough it was open. I was happy to see that everything was still in the back seat and nothing had been stolen. More surprised to see that I had forgotten to roll up my drivers side window and it was wide open too. :/

I was too tired to try to fight with eating Giordono's (SP?) pizza, so I made a fast side trip to Portillo's to pick up a couple Chicago Dogs for my drive home. Fucking yum!!

It's been like 3 days and I'm still singing
'...if Eternity Should Fail.....
' in my head :)

That's incredible. When you make an honest mistake in your haste to see Iron Maiden, the world protects you because Iron Maiden.

So it seems the Vegas meetup was a thundering success. Let's see if we can have equally much fun in Oslo come June.

And in Chicago in April! Though I'm still not sure who is all going. Roll call!
