Now Playing (Video Games)

That one has all the qualification stages from all confederations and includes all 203 national teams that competed in it. That's pretty cool. It's a shame that it wasn't released for PC, I don't own a PS3 or Xbox360 so I can't play it extensively.

Started to play Mount and Blade: Warband once again. I used to play it a few years ago and just discovered how epic it is. Don't think it'll be this fun for very long though.

*looks at my Steam played numbers* you are wrong.

FIFA 14 drives me fucking crazy. Today during an online match (Ultimate Team) I had 37 total shots, 30 on target and I managed to score only 2 goals. I won the game but lost my cool. Opponent goalkeeper had 24 saves, 6 shots hit the bar. Around the minutes 60-80 the match was basically in my opponent's penalty box and I didn't manage to score a single goal. During one sequence I took 6 clear shots at goal, all of which were saved by the goalkeeper. Makes me wonder why do I actually play this game for at times because that sure wasn't fun.

I had lost a game before this one, finished 24-7 up on total shots. I came into this one saying "I have to score a lot of goals on this one to relieve stress." Leave stress relief aside, my head was almost gonna explode.

Makes you wonder if the game has a rubber band in it.

Probably, alot of games these days seem to have rubber banding.

Been playing alot of Crusader Kings II lately and it's a very good game, although different compared to say the Total War series in that you focus more on diplomacy than on the military side of it. You also can't just go around fighting anyone you so please, you actually have to have Casus Belli's and the like. Also been playing the Witcher 2 somewhat and it's a nice RPG but the story seems a bit slow for my tastes. Also just finished another run of KOTOR, and yes it's still as brilliant a game as ever. Even if my last run through was stupidly easy near the end (and it's meant to be the hardest part of the game).

I love the Paradox strategy games. I usually play Victoria II but I recently got both Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV, and I'm hoping to put some time into learning them both. They have similar methodologies to Victoria, but not the exact same. I also have a lot of their older ones on this thing called "CD", don't know if you've ever heard of it. Apparently it's from The Time Before Steam. I have Crusader Kings I, EU II, Hearts of Iron I, Victoria I, Crown of the North, Two Thrones. And HOI III and Europa Universalis: Rome. Yeaaaaaaaah. Addict.

That's all fine and dandy, but I challenge you to play against me :P I'm not saying I'm something special, I just wanna check how good you really are :P

Just finished Sniper Elite 2 tonight (never got around to finishing the first one, but the second was free for a while so I grabbed it) and quite enjoyed it, been a while since I played an entire single player campaign. Bullet camera following your shots so you can see where you hit the enemy, including showing the skeletons/muscles/organs inside, and fun things like shooting peoples grenades to make them pop. I remember the first one being a bit more difficult, whereas the second was more about patience in the end, I think about 3/4 of my deaths though came from a checkpoint activating about 3 seconds before I got shot, with my character clinging to cover so I couldn't point my gun in the right direction >.< Managed to get out of it eventually thankfully.

Quite tempted to try out the multiplayer... although I imagine it's even more frustrating than the average sniper infestation in FPS's ;) It's also making me want to get Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 >.> Despite the ludicrous title.

I got Crusader Kings II back in a humblebundle, loaded it up a few times but don't actually know what the hell to do... not as in "I keep losing", but as in how the hell to even get started :P

You've been playing it since it came out, I started two months ago. Not fair mate. :p But we could play some time.

Related: when I was new here and looking for the "now playing" thread, I couldn't find it because I thought 'playing' stood for video games. Why isn't the music thread called "Now listening"? :P
