2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil

So, I've not been a big football follower, but a friend of mine from work wanted to go out and watch the game at a bar. It was great fun!! Loved that last go for USA!
 
The look on Brooks's face when he realized he'd scored was priceless. That, right there, is a World Cup moment for the ages. Good on the kid. Only his 6th cap.

Algeria drew a penalty during one of their only drives. Belgium doesn't have a striker who knows how to strike.
 
There's the second. That was a beautiful play, no matter what you say about the rest of it.
 
I was talking to my dad at the half time, saying they should bring Fellaini and Mertens in place of Chadli and Dembele who were playing terribly. They did it and both substitutes scored goals. :D

I was so so pleased that Belgium won the last match. Okay, they were poor in the first half, but Algeria were so negative all throughout the game, that they didn't deserve anything out of it. They made it so they were very hard to break down, especially after the first goal, but after the substitutions, Belgium finally showed their superior class and unlocked the Algeria defence. I was definitely impressed with Belgium during the last 25 minutes. :)

Mexico v Brazil next. Would like to see Mexico winning that one!
 
Lovely attack from Belgium for 2-1. Now I'm curious to see if Brazil will improve from their first match. They were lucky to get the win against Croatia, and I guess I'm not the only one to expect more from that team.

I hope not! :P Mexico already had to overcome poor decisions in their last game, having two perfectly good goals disallowed. Playing against Brazil at home is tough enough, without playing against the ref and officials as well, but that's what Croatia had to do the first match. lol Hopefully the ref will be a bit better in this match.
 
Has there been loads of dodgy penalties at the end of games? You're money should be on the opening goal, from either of them, being a dodgy penalty at the start of the match.
