Best opening to a song?

Hallowed be thy Brain

Infinite Dreamer
Not best opening track just opening to a song (drum intro, bass line, spoken word intro ect) For me, its a tie between Where Eagles Dare and the Clairvoyant

So many great ones to choose from. I'll go with To Tame a Land, Alexander the Great, Paschendale, Still Life and Starblind for now.

Some of the ones I would have picked have been mentioned here so far. So I'll add Aces High, Killers, Moonchild, The Prisoner, Loneliness, Caught Somewhere in Time and Sea of Madness. The Evil That Men Do is pretty good too...

Bridges in the Sky by Dream Theater. :D

But since were talking about Maiden...
- Caught Somewhere in Time
- Legacy
- The Talisman
- Moonchild
- Dance of Death
- Phantom of the Opera
- The Longest Day
- The Fugitive
- Still Life
- Fates Warning
- Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
and I also quite like the intro of Out of the Silent Planet. It's so complex... like The Fugitive.

The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, Paschendale (I love the first few seconds ; unfortunately, this is the only thing I like in the whole song) ; but, to me, To Tame a Land is the best intro ever. I consider it one of the best melodies Maiden has ever written.
