Change of Heart gets three votes consecutively and leaves. I probably should remember that this is an Iron Maiden forum, heavy songs get the edge most of the time rather than emotionally powerful, atmospheric slow songs. Oh well...

Is that why Tears of the Dragon is one of three songs that have yet to receive a vote? :p

I think we'll be able to test your theory better if Navigate holds up.

I think we'll be able to test your theory better if Navigate holds up.

Change of Heart is a pure soft song. Tears of the Dragon has heavy parts (pre-solo and solo).

Navigate the Seas of the Sun is also a song that is in my Top 10, by the way.

Man of Sorrows is my favourite of the pure ballads. Although I love a bunch of the demi-ballads (Omega, Jerusalem, Tears etc).

Chemical Wedding's votes are nowhere near as blasphemous as the majestic Cyclops's votes.

I just noticed Jerusalem has 4 votes. Psh. Get out of here, Maidenfans. Jerusalem is the best thing Bruce has ever touched -- including his solo stuff, his Samson stuff, his guest stuff, and his Maiden stuff.

It should be safe for now, with only 38.5% of the votes.

But if it does get eliminated, I reckon this survivor is more of a farce than Maiden 2012.:innocent:

Change of Heart (7) is eliminated. Cyclops and Tears of the Dragon are promoted to the finals. Tyranny of Souls enters the battle!

This part in Navigate ...

To find our minds were spinning
Souls entwined in a spiral dance
The ancient ways have found us again
To give us one last chance

... is great and I know this track is very popular but I am not a huge fan of this not very adventurous song. The last two minutes are just a repetition of the same part. If it were shorter it could be different but now it feels too lengthy.

Eternal is quite special. It sounds like a Pink Floyd song written and sung(!) by David Gilmour.
What a beautiful chorus. I do not find it one of the best songs but will leave it alone this round.

The votes on older songs mainly serve the purpose of protecting my "more" favourites from those records.
