Ooops, slight amendment needed...

Seems I saw them with Blaze on Virtual XI tour not X Factor tour

Sorry

And the Judas Priest support slot I saw was the first of the two Hammersmith shows on the British Steel tour, my friend was impressed as he'd never seen a support band get an encore before!

Ai, well OK, I'll correct it, no prob! Was the VXI gig in Brixton, and if not, where was it?
Cheers!

If memory serves me right, my husband has seen them  7 times...

1981 w/Judas Priest (Point Of Entry Tour)
1982 w/Judas Priest (Screaming For Vengeance)
1983 w/Fastway and Coney Hatch
1985 w/Accept
(he lived in California in 1986-87, missed them)
1988 w/Ace Frehley's Comet
2000 w/Motorhead (Halford) and Queensryche
2003 w/Motorhead and Dio

The last 2 I saw w/him. Queensryche was pretty bad, Geoff Tate didn't sing that great.
Dio is always a pleasure to watch! The Heaven and Hell show we saw in May was great!

The Mid-Distance Runner
I remember doing the exact same thing!!  Saw Maiden here in Jacksonville, Fl on the Somewhere on Tour.  Teenager and also left before the encore!!  Too funny.  Wonder where my highschool bud is now, haven't heard from him in years.

Only been to the matter of life and death show...i believe they played 13 songs

I wish I could remember every song I saw live. I only remember the dates..

1982 -they opened for the scorpions
1983-world piece tour
1984-world slavery
1985-somewhere on tour
2006-AMOLAD Irvine

I never left early and was never late to any maiden shows.  I can't say that for any others though?

SMX I'm sorry to say that you have not seen "Sea Of Madness", since Maiden dropped it from the setlist (for good) on January 9th, 1987. The same goes for other people if they have witnessed the Somewhere on Tour in North America, unless they were in Hampton or Landover.

Re: How many Iron Maiden live songs have you witnessed at (an) Iron Maiden gig(s

It's 15 for me - the concert in Bergen during the AMOLAD tour was the first I attended and in addition to the newest album they played FOTD, IM, 2MTM, TETMD and HBTN  :) (but I guess most people here knew this anyway).

I guess there will be some overlap between the non-AMOLAD songs on the last tour and the Somewhere Back in Time setlist. I mean, they will not go on stage and not play Iron Maiden and Hallowed Be Thy Name. And from Powerslave and 7th Son, no one will be surprised to hear 2 Minutes? Or The Evil That Men Do? Of course, I'd love it if they put some of those "played at least on every second tour" songs on the shelf for this tour to give place to some rarely-if-ever played songs like The Loneliness, Only The Good Die Young or -dare I say it - The Duellists. But let us be realistic. There will be a surprise song or two, but we must expect a setlist packed with songs that we've heard many times before.

I clicked 15-25, but I'm kind of guessing, for I don't remember all of the songs on the first tour. I saw them twice:

June '88 (?) In Cedar Rapids IA, on the Seventh Son tour, I knew exactly one song then, and had only heard one album.

Oct '06 Rosmont IL, AMOLAD.

Hoping for another chance if they hit the middle of the States.

Re: How many Iron Maiden live songs have you witnessed at (an) Iron Maiden gig(s

READ THIS FIRST: If you have not been to the Somewhere Back in Time Tour and don't wish to know the set list, avoid this.  I've used spoilers, but the number of new songs listed as heard can still suggest a lot.

This requires an update.  My previous post read like so.

The songs I've heard live:

1. In 2003 when touring w/ Dio and Motorhead (EDIT: Give Me Ed... 'Til I'm Dead Tour)

The Number Of The Beast

Revelations
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Wildest Dreams
The Wickerman
The Clansman
The Clairvoyant
Heaven Can Wait
Fear Of The Dark
Iron Maiden
Two Minutes To Midnight
Run To The Hills

EDIT: Because they were sharing the stage, I did not hear 22 Acacia Avenue, Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter and Brave New World live as of this point!  Lucky Europeans heard these though.

2. The 'Early Days' tour in 2005 ('Eddie Rips up the World Tour')

The Ides Of March
Murders In The Rue Morgue
Another Life
Prowler
The Trooper
Remember Tomorrow
Where Eagles Dare
Run To The Hills
Revelations
Wrathchild
Die With Your Boots On
Phantom Of The Opera
The Number Of The Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden
Running Free
Drifter
Sanctuary

EDIT: I actually screamed for them to play 22 Acacia Avenue, but alas once again I missed it.  I'll never hear this song live.

3. Promoting 'A Matter of Life and Death' this August

You know what the songs are if you've seen 'em live -- and if you haven't you probably don't want to know now anyway.  :p

I didn't care to order them.  Yes, they do repeat; your eyes are not playing tricks on you.

They were all in Toronto at two different venues.

I have heard 36 different songs played live in total and 47 songs in total if I counted 'repeats'.

I have heard Hallowed By Thy Name and Iron Maiden all three times.

My biggest disappointment was missing the 'Dance of Death' tour.

Here are the songs I've heard live for the first time on March 16, 2008 on the Somewhere Back in Time Tour.

Aces High
Wasted Years
Can I Play with Madness
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Powerslave
Moonchild

That makes it 42 songs live songs in total, 63 songs if I counted repeats.

Here they are in order of release.

Prowler
Remember Tomorrow
Running Free
Phantom of the Opera
Sanctuary
Iron Maiden

The Ides of March
Wrathchild
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Another Life
Drifter

The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
Hallowed Be Thy Name

Where Eagles Dare
Revelations
Die With Your Boots On
The Trooper

Aces High
2 Minutes to Midnight
Powerslave
Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Wasted Years
Heaven Can Wait

Moonchild
Can I Play with Madness
The Evil Than Men Do
The Clairvoyant

Fear of the Dark
The Clansman
The Wickerman
Wildest Dreams
Different World
These Colours Don't Run
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
The Pilgrim
The Longest Day
Out of the Shadows
The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
For the Greater Good of God
Lord of Light
The Legacy
