Great memories of York! Been there on student exchange in 1993, super cool place. I remember we did a daytrip to Scarborough which I wouldn't call particularly spectaculous or beautiful, but that 1980s vibe to it was special.

York is beautiful..as for Scarborough, I go there for a couple of weeks in summer as Yorkshire play cricket there. Scarborough is now an absolute shit hole. Run down dump.. and getting worse

I like the open air theatre in Scarborough but like most of the UK seaside in the north it`s seen better days.
