I can guarantee you that if they're not spending constructive time here, they're definitely not creating accounts to troll the trolls.
Sounds like you're in the mod splinter group! :ninja:

About the other stuff you said, yah, when I joined it was during Forostars Best Maiden Solo Game. That was an eye opener, reading the insights of knowledgeable people about interesting/nerdy things, learning things, readdressing my own opinions based on new information and being fully engaged in the game. A brave new world, indeed.

And yeah, I get that people move on and I have no context for how people used to leave or drift off before I joined but it seems that a lot of the big personalities from my early times left in disillusionment because of the way the forum had gone, the topics and quality of the conversation, rather than just growing out of things. But then maybe that's totally normal.

Maybe that's just the way things go online. I've no context as this is the only online community I've ever graced with my presence.

I do remember we had an epidemic of lists for a while and the whole place just felt totally brain dead, entire threads with zero discussion, just list upon list. I think that's what killed that fuck Cried ho ho ho

If you're reading, Cried, fuck you, baby, mwah!

Well, given the fact that Per's posts in this thread exist:

And that by that point I had barely posted on the forum, hadn't posted any political content and wrote almost exclusively in the Senjutsu threads, I can safely say that whatever's happening cannot be blamed on me.

Man, I wish I were as influential as y'all are making me out to be ;)
…which is, of course, objectively irrelevant because he was last here in November of 2025, literally years after you joined and had long been polluting the forum with your sanctimonious verbal diarrhea. But why let facts stop your argument, hmm…?

I think it's a bit both columns, for sure. Before the great wave of negativity there was a massive wave of spam-like nonsense that I think killed a lot of enthusiasm around here for the Old Guard (myself included, as I certainly frequent far fewer threads that I used to).

Yah, I remember the spam fo sho. I pretty much stopped commenting (not that I was ever consistently vocal) and eventually stopped even checking in for weeks or months at a time. It actually caused me anxiety to come on here. I'd be hoping for something I found interesting and the place was saturated with this spam you speak of. It was quite enraging

And I didn't even have the energy to fight against it, to create something I found interesting. It was like a brain rot that just made me very 'meh.'
