I don't know how to feel about this...
In my mind it means they are planning for the inevitable end of Maiden as a touring band but not the franchise and the IP. It's sad in that way. Pophouse also bought Kiss and they are creating a similar experience to that of the ABBA Voyage in London. I hope to God we won't ever see anything like that. Pophouse is the company of Björn Ulveus of ABBA fame, and I have some trust in him, that's for sure. I hope they will treat the IP with respect and delicacy. This is big but I've no idea what it will mean for the long term.
Yes ,thats things that some bands do when they are retiredIn my mind it means they are planning for the inevitable end of Maiden as a touring band but not the franchise and the IP. Come on! A virtual Di´Anno screaming Iron Maiden´s gonna get ya, A hologram of Eddie rising from the grave, a loop of a prancing Janick, Sharon pelted with eggs while Bruce sings These Colours Don´t Run,...I certainly don't want to see a Maiden hologram show. Not until they are all cold in the ground and by that stage I'd probably pay top dollar to have a taste of The Good Old Days![]()

What troubles you, mon amigo?Suddenly not feeling optimistic about the near future of this band.
To my recollection, everyone that signs with Pophouse is already retired (Kiss, ABBA - although Bjorn Ulvaeus owns Pophouse), retiring (Cyndi Lauper), or is dead (Tina Turner, Avicii)What troubles you, mon amigo?
I think it could be exciting, some good events and releases as we slide fully into the final stages of active Maiden. I certainly think it's better than passing the rights on to strangers post retirement.
To add, all this is flavoured by the fact that I'm certain of one more album and at least one more tour.
The band’s live presence is legendary, and Koravos says they have no intention of cribbing the band’s ability to tour.
“One of the attractions of this catalog is the incredible fandom that surrounds them, and they’ve done the most incredible job over the years of giving those fans amazing shows every single time,” said Koravos, whose husband, Stuart Galbraith, CEO of KMJ Entertainment Group, was the promoter of Maiden’s recent Eddfest shows in Knebworth, United Kingdom. “I have a deep understanding of the Maiden fan, and I think the band would say they’ve brought us on board to turbo charge them, [not] to help them hang up their boots.”
