I cant remember who closed the festival? Los suaves? I have the ticket signed by the migthy manolo kabezabolo lol.
LOL! What a surreal lineup.

I think it was Los Suaves who closed it. Yosi tried to climb the lighting rig's flying stairs, and his own roadies had to get him down. I watched the show next to a guy who had very painful haemorrhoids. Poor fella!
I vaguely remember enjoying Napalm Death's set from a far. Bruce, obviously, blew everyone else away.
I never understood the grudge against him for doing Skunkworks. The album is not half as bad as people made it out to be. He had nothing to prove, so he did whatever he felt like doing. Then, when he felt he had to prove something, he showed everyone that he was capable of making a very good metal record (Accident of Birth) and an absolute masterpiece (The Chemical Wedding).

Really enjoyed this making of for the new Tears Of The Dragon video. Even though Bruce seems a little naive sometimes, he does have an infectious energy and drives the project forward, love seeing it. Cool location as well!

I came across this 1998 mag a couple of days ago. It featured Blaze on the cover, but hid a snippet from Dickinson that meant much more than anyone could wish for (translated text below images):

BIG BANG!
Bruce Dickinson: Too metal for KORN!
During a promotional visit to New York for his album The Chemical Wedding, Bruce found himself involved in a battle between the old and the new school of metal when he was invited to the MTV Rocks Off show. The other guests, Korn, canceled their appearance upon learning they had to share the bill with someone "too heavy metal!"
Bruce also entered hostile territory when he recently visited the northern part of Bosnia with 20 volunteers from the Prince's Trust organization. While the volunteers worked in an orphanage, Bruce performed a concert with a military group that didn't have a vocalist!
By the time you read this, he will already be touring throughout Europe. "I hope people come to my concerts," he smiles before adding, "I am cautiously optimistic. I love what I am doing, although recording albums is a great adventure."
With such a well-tracked career, would he presumably be interested in any reunion with his former band Iron Maiden?
"If someone called me and asked me, I would consider it, but it would depend on many circumstances. I still play some Maiden tracks in my set. They would lynch me if I didn't, especially having Adrian Smith in the group, but we also play them because they are very good tracks! But it would never be at the expense of my solo work
."
