Do you know what the audio quality of said recording is? Not that we'll ever get to see/hear it, but would be interesting to know.
Well it is a professional recording with multiple cameras but I cannot tell you if the audio was recorded from the mics of was actually directly from the desk

Fascinating, thanks for the info! Is that fan the only known person with access to it? Do Maiden have that recording in their vault?

I posted this earlier on the 2026 tour thread. Very funny!

The BBC recorded a full show. It is in the possession of a so-called fan.

I remember seeing a very brief clip of quality footage from the SIT tour on a BBC programme (Entertainment USA?) when I was a new fan in 1988. Unfortunately, the show was presented by Jonathan King (the lunatic whose other Maiden connection is Gogmagog) so is unlikely to resurface.

I wonder if that was from the BBC recording you mention. I did a quick search on Youtube but couldn't find it, but it may be on there somewhere.

Joe Lazarus posted this photo 21 hours ago. I’m taking it as a massive hint. Nicko’s birthday is merely a formal excuse. (Because he’s sandwiched between Iron Maiden boss Steve and Nicko. The photo was clearly taken after a job interview, and Nicko, as we can see, fully supports the upcoming decision.)

Maybe he felt the need to apologize for his father's behavior. He was seriously cringey.

For all I know, he bought it or got it directly from the BBC (think they were going to discard it!!!). He probably has made some copies to people close to his circle.

I think Maiden would be able to litigate for it if they wanted to, but for what I have seen, Maiden isn't as interested as some fans on getting stuff we would love to see.

It was that show the BBC filmed entirely for what I understand (not just the parts that were featured in the show)
I thought it might have been since that's the only known instance of the BBC (or any pro recordings) of SiT that were done. I'm assuming the "owner" is one of those private collector types who refuses to part with it?

Yes and unfortunately is not only on of those private collectors is one of those particular collectors that has a particular attitude and that when proved wrong, is incapable of accepting it
