IM should play at least in Eb next leg. Actually they should have done this since the last tour.
Yes, we don't want Wasted Years turn into Wasted Ears.

:D

(going down a full step is a big nono though. Half a step to Eb would make them sound better, but we have collectively been arguing about this for 10 years now. )

Half step might be ok, but full step changes the song too much, I agree.

Still, for Maiden, due to their bright sound, I prefer standard tuning. And Bruce will die on that hill too.

I sometimes wonder if it's Steve who will die on that hill.

I think... Both. Bruce refuses to tune down with his solo band, despite songs like Darkside Of Aquarius being on his absolute limit, while Steve refuses to tune down with British Lion, despite the fact that the singer would benefit from it massively.

We know that they are both stubborn as hell. So is Rod.

Maybe Bruce’s logic is: “After surviving the World Slavery Tour, I can surely handle a handful of shows without downtuning - even if I end up sounding like a banshee at the edge of it.”

Interview and rig rundown from the S/K tour. He is going to refret the Custom with a bigger fret wire. That's why it fell out of rotation.
They want to continue with the project (duh), maybe some stuff next year, or is it ''too soon''.

Adrian with a new fast melodic lick for Wasted Years' intro riff live (before the start of the solo, he did it twice). It's cool, I dig it, I wish he'd use it in the studio for a song. As Adrian said in the video above, Richie sort of inspires him to be more improvisational.

That's not a new lick. It's just getting out of trouble, as he screwed up the lick. Usually, when this happens with Maiden, he divebombs or plays some harmonics as Janick is doubling the riff. Here he needed to fill the gap.
