Call me a cynic, but I can definitely see a Slayer-type situation unfolding. The lack of touring will build up demand, and after a year or two, they’ll announce select shows at festivals, etc.

Probably with Ellefson and Marty to drum up even more attention.

Ellefson.... Well, I may be proven wrong, but I think the chances are close to zero. I think, even Chris Poland has a higher chance of appearing than Ellefson.

I think the current lineup is going to be the one to end the group. Marty I can see showing up in the big markets like New York, LA, London, Tokyo like how Glenn Tipton will for Priest.

Excited for the new album, not so excited that it's the last + farewell tour. Have to go see them if it's possible, but at least I got to see Megadeth once in 2022 if not.

I'm pretty shocked by the news. I'm definitely hoping to see them for one last time. My two Megadeth shows were both awesome, the only problem with them was the short 70 minute set.

Kick the chair i think its one of the best last songs they wrote.

Megadeth has a very different level from those albums to any others

It's ok, as usual with Megadeth since about 2004, the lyrics are even below the level of dumbness I'm willing to allow Mustaine the leeway for. Riff near the end has a bit of The Conjuring end section vibe off it.
