RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

My 2 fav bands, Maiden and Leppard, playing in the UK next year and doubt ill be going to either. Its just all getting too expensive. Its a tough one as neither of them will play here again until at least 2028. Ive seen them both many many times but do feel bad anytime i miss them, but unless i come into some money my gig days are over i think

Although I have a reasonably comfortable financial situation, going to big gigs is becoming a luxury.

In my case, with three people (my daughter, my wife and myself) potentially going to the Maiden show, that would mean more than £500 spent (and that does not include staying at a hotel) to attend a concert featuring a show that I have already seen.

I’m out. I am happy to live with the memories of the 36 times I have seen Maiden live.

Short appearances/tours could be the future, but that would be so un-Maiden. I clicked on a random part of their video, and if I understand it right, they said that in the new Metal Hammer interview (we haven't read it in full)

You are not missing much: just Bruce being embarrassing and Steve being his usual modest or confident-self when talking about the initial success of the band and the Blaze albums, respectively.

Of course i have the memories (only 18 Maiden gigs myself) but its still one of the few things in my life i still really look forward to, a Maiden gig.

The other thing is, bands of this vintage have you over a barrell cos you always thing its might be the last time ill be able to see them. Not their fault i know. And its the camaradry too. Its one of the only times i get to see certain friends. Get together for a Maiden gig. But i can only go if i can afford and at the min i cant.

I wholeheartedly agree about the camaraderie. I have some very nice memories of the time spent with friends at The Pilot Inn near the O2 before the Maiden gigs I have seen there (quite a few!).

Yep even just a few months ago, a great few days in London with a few mates. A trip to Cart and Horses to meet fellow Maiden fans. Great memories
