Primal Fear

Woah, the new album has a great booklet - with artworks for every song! It's called Earbook and it's bigger. Now that's how you do it! They may have been made with AI, but they look so cool. And they create a whole world for the album (which is special), plus they're thematic. Eagles, the one from the cover, heroes, Gods, other creatures. I'd love to see them in a good quality. Epic. :ok:

@Azas you should check them out. Similar thing would have been perfect for an album like SJ. Maiden, take notes! Every album should have such booklets, especially Maiden's.

I have tried listening to the new album twice now, but I turn it off because it bores me. It's like I have heard a way more exciting version of the album before. It's not bad. Definitely not. But their current formula is a bit worn out now.

Faster and shorter songs can be not exciting enough, yes. Typical formula too. I understand you about it. The album is not that fast or aggressive, only 3 songs are. Not the full album ofc (for me, 8-9 of the songs are good), but they manage to sound fresh enough for me with this album, comparing it to some of the previous recent ones (Commando, Apocalypse, Rulebreaker). Not much variety, yes, but that's like normal for them. It's all about the songwriting, strong, catchy or not. Like Priest now. I also wanted a little longer songs with more interesting instrumental sections, but that's not really their style. Solid and good album, that's enough now. And for me it's one of their most consistent as a whole piece. We can't compare expect their style and approach with a band like Maiden. Or Bruce solo.

I'm not. I'm comparing them with their countless better albums between Seven Seals and Code Red. Honestly, the only album I like less would be 16.6 and I probably need to give it another chance since it is sandwiched inbetween two of PFs best records.

I liked the first 2 albums. Then its like running wild, almost sounding the same that you can remember wich sonh is it
I’d recommend New Religion, Unbreakable and Delivering the Black. There is some Nice variety between those albums and some of their best songs. And you are pointing to my main gripe - they are overall as experimental as AC/DC.
