RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Yeah, Bruce's style as a front man is engaging and making the crowd a part of the concert. Always has been.
Agree here, a few pages ago folks were giving him a hard time for the classic crowd engagements… the only one that bothers me is when he get the ‘hey hey hey’ clap going about 5:15 into Powerslave.

I get trying to involve the crowd before he comes back in especially after coming out of the moody solo section BUT it just doesn’t fit tonally for me. Powerslave is a slower, moody song and it’s just a bit too upbeat for my taste.

I think Bruce sounds amazing for his age- that goes without saying. He’s not at his peak (of course!) but when you are at the show and rocking out that’s the time to make a judgment and not from isolated YT videos. I’ve never come from a Maiden show unhappy.

With that said, it is most definitely time to retire Ace’s. Even live that one hurts.

I believe we will see them in Europe next year also. The "band xy with the z year anniversary show" is very popular at the moment with festivals. I see that on a lot of posters.
They have not yet taken advantage of this trend as much as they could.

The historic London show. 75,000! :rocker:
I am curious to see the official numbers, but from the pictures 75k looks very likely. The stadium was packed. Maiden biggest ever show outside of festivals was in 2019, maybe Brazil, and it was around 62k tickets sold.

Chile last year was massive too, with 120k sold over two stadium shows. But London is the biggest single show ever. Congrats to the guys. Steve must be proud.

Gotta say the guys still amaze me. I thought London was fantastic. One or two minor faults but for guys nearing 70 it was awesome. The only thing i will say is that everyone i was with (some of them experienced drummers themselves) were not impressed with Simom. Hes ok but given Maiden could have got ANYONE it seems a lazy and lacklusture choice. However, as i say, still a kick ass show.

Btw did anyone see Gypsy' Kiss on Friday in the Cart?

Be
I fail to see how using a drummer you've played with for years and have a chemistry with is "lazy and lackluster." From what I've seen he's doing a fine job and if the band is happy with him then who am I to argue?
Cause its easier to hire someone you know than go through the process of auditions. All im saying is a lot people dont rate him. Im not a drummer but he doesnt sound anywhere near the calibre of Clive or Nicko.
