RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Right, things are looking clearer for me now. I will most likely be able to attend the Helsinki show! Quite excited about that. I'm very happy if they'll play a couple of big songs that they've done previously with this line-up, but just once (=one tour), like Rime, Icarus and/or Killers. I missed The Book of Souls tour, which absolutely sucks as I had tickets for both nights at the London O2 Arena (2017), so I wouldn't mind Powerslave or Children of the Damned either. Both are, as speculated, in the realm of possibilities, I believe.

Infinite Dreams would be a dream come true. After Maiden England tour this is bit of a

...situation.

So let's just say that I'm not disappointed if it won't be played. If it will... well I'd be super happy about that! I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to these definitive rankings and whatnot, but if there's one Maiden song that I could consider as sole #1 favourite... Infinite Dreams is probably my pick.

I would've preferred to see them in Stockholm as it's an indoor show; <100€ tickets for a show in the daylight with potentially poor sound is not ideal, but oh well, it's the music that matters most! And given everything, I'm just happy that there's at least 65% of a chance now that I'm seeing IRON MAIDEN in roughly three weeks!

May I jump into the setlist speculation..?

Like you guys, I've spent much time considering this, deciphering potential clues, studying each album. Haven't paid attention to other guesses; this is based off my own vibes. I'm so excited for this tour to begin, I can't wait.

Here's my best guess for now:

Be Quick Or Be Dead
Wrathchild
Sea Of Madness
Killers
Infinite Dreams
Phantom Of The Opera
No Prayer For The Dying
The Trooper
Sun And Steel
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
Powerslave
Fear Of The Dark
The Number Of The Beast
Iron Maiden

Only The Good Die Young
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Run To The Hills

If instead of Sun and Steel, you had Revelations/Still Life, this would've been perfect for me. Honestly, I don't see No Prayer happening, but the rest, even Loneliness and Sun and Steel, have a chance. I think, u will get most of them right bar 1-2 deeper cuts you chose.

I'm thinking "Sun And Steel" for two reasons: the Japanese pagoda in the tour poster and Nicko stating how much he likes the song and wishes the band performed it live. Yes, he's not performing this tour but it's an educated guess that it might make the setlist as a deep "never been played" cut.

"NPFTD" is tough to call. The more obvious choice would be "BYDTTS" but it's been performed and I wouldn't consider it a great classic Maiden track. "Public Enema Number One," I suppose might be considered deep enough. But...considering how Maiden likes to pace their shows, I thought the title track would serve to bring down the mood before ratcheting it back up again, like how "Afraid To Shoot Strangers" did on the "Maiden England" tour. We'll see.

I heard Bruce state that he was keeping "Revelations" for his own upcoming tour promoting "The Mandrake Project" and that Maiden wouldn't be performing it on "RFYL," so I'm not considering it as a possibility.

Yes Revelations probably won't be played. Still Life and Boots are more likely than Sun and Steel imo. I want Revelations personally, but probably we won't get it. I think a song like Children of the Damned is more likely than No Prayer to slow things down a bit. Even Afraid (again) or Wasting Love are more likely imo. Bring Your Daughter, as much as I don't like it, is the only No Prayer song that could feature imo, that's why I want them to skip this album.

As of now, I won’t be too disappointed if they don’t play it, compared to how I felt when it didn’t make it into the Maiden England World Tour setlist. Sure, Infinite Dreams is my absolute favorite song ever, and it would truly be a dream come true if they played it again. It’s such an important, little epic song—even if it wasn’t a major hit, which is probably why it hasn’t made it to any other tour since 1988.

I think Infinite Dreams is a tremendous song, a masterpiece, and I really love its intricate musical arrangements, including the dreamy intro, the powerful build-up, and the two amazing guitar solos. It also features captivating lyrics that delve into themes of mysticism, death, dreams, and the afterlife. The song’s lyrics describe a character who experiences visions and nightmares, and who fears both sleep and wakefulness.
And I have personal memories attached to this song, and it will be the one my loved ones will hear at my wake. I’ve asked for that, and most likely, it will happen.

In the last couple of tours, they’ve surprised us by bringing back some rare, forgotten songs, and even playing some for the first time.
So, with all the hype and anticipation, I’m hoping there will be at least a few genuine surprises. And now, honestly I feel there’s a greater chance of hearing it because the 50th anniversary book carries the same title. That could be a hint that the band knows exactly what we want to hear.
Finally it could be happening.

Here's my predicted setlist:

1. Be Quick Or Be Dead
2. The Evil That Men Do
3. Killers
4. Infinite Dreams
5. The Trooper
6. Phantom Of The Opera
7. Still Life
8. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
9. The Clairvoyant
10. To Tame A Land
11. Run To The Hills
12. Fear Of The Dark
13. Hallowed Be Thy Name
14. Iron Maiden
----------------
15. The Number Of The Beast
16. Running Free
17. Die With Your Boots On

I hate to bring everyone crashing down to Earth, but don't forget this is going to be a bonafide greatest hits set.

Considering Daughter is their only UK number one single, that would mean it's a definite. All other tracks I would expect to be either singles from the catalogue, or greatest live hits - Fear, Iron Maiden, Hallowed.
I had Daughter in my initial setlist in october, but didn't some Bruce's interview indicate that he would have preferred to play it with his own band instead? Or am I just mixing it up with Revelations etc?

I'm afraid of that, but still I don't believe that they will play only hits and singles. There will be some surprises

Maiden is aware of what the fans want, and they are aware of albums that they have overlooked over the years. I’m sure something from No Prayer will make it to the setlist. Probably Daughter, hopefully the title track, even Tailgunner as an opener or encore opener would make me smile.

Its been promised as a greatest hits set along with some surprises that have never been played before...although Bruce was cagey with how he said it.

There are some definites we know that are either fixtures, indisputable classics, or teased in promos:

The Trooper
Iron Maiden
Fear Of The Dark
Run To The Hills
Killers
Powerslave
The Number Of The Beast
The Phantom Of The Opera
Hallowed Be Thy Name

That's nine songs right there. Add to that some strong possibilities based on clues and context:

The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Infinite Dreams
Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
Sanctuary
Only The Good Die Young
Sun And Steel
To Tame A Land

There's seven more to make sixteen. We're right at their traditional set limit.

What I did was lay out the nine studio albums represented on the tour and tried to give equal representation among them all. If an album like "NPFTD" would be omitted then what's the point..? Taking that into account, I whittled down my guesses from among the nine albums and once you consider the obvious songs, there really wasn't a lot of space left.

For example, we know they'll end the main set with "Iron Maiden." We know that "POTO" is likely in the set. Although "Prowler" would be great, do we also consider "Sanctuary" and/or "Running Free..?" That's four songs off of one album and we haven't even gotten to "Killers" or "TNOTB" yet! So if it's truly a celebration of fifty years spotlighting the first nine albums, some tough choices had to be made.

They CANNOT open with "Aces High" again, especially after "TLOTB" tour's spectacular entrance. "2MTM," "HCW" and "WY" have been played ad infinitum. So which songs make the cut at the expense of a couple of deep cuts for the OGs like me..?

For me, it's a fun exercise trying to figure it all out. The band has a wealth of great songs from which to choose.
