The most prominent guitar is the one being played by the long-haired guy in black behind Bob. I don't know who that is, but I think there's musician intros in the first part of that vid if you want to find out.

Paul introduced him -- Steve Vai. Makes sense. No wonder it sounded pretty good.

EDIT: By the way, one would think it's not a goof. Carole King, Mavis Staples, Chrissy Hynde, Jim Keltner, Emmylou Harris ... that's a lot of people one would think he'd respect enough to give a good performance. The background singers (Staples, Harris, Roseanne Cash, Michelle Shocked) look, well, shocked and confused.

Wow. I had no idea that was Vai. You can hardly see his face.

In fact I had no idea who all those people were. I saw the backup singers looking confused as you said, especially the one on the right (Michelle Shocked I guess?)

I should mention, I did not pick this video for any humor value. It really is the best complete performance on youtube that approaches "vintage". There's clips from the 60s but none complete.

"Kashmir" tramples Floyd underfoot.
It's only rock 'n' roll, but I still like it.
Don't like this Queen combo that much, so CCR it is.
I don't dare vote against Mr. Zimmerman when he's throwing thunderbolts around.

Kashmir cause 'dat riff.
Old Man
I've never been a fan of the Queen sports anthems. But I'm a fan of all CCR.
Bob Dylan, though the choice is tough.

Journey
Beatles
But what I really want to know is... who are The Romantics? Kravitz.
Another u2 song, they're everywhere! Ramones.

My votes:

Not voting for VH, but that live vid is something else. DLR could scream back in the day. However, the Journey song is better. Don't Stop Believin'
I don't like Seger and do like Beatles. Nonetheless, here's the very rare case where Bob is better. Turn The Page
What I really want to know is, Are You Gonna Go My Way
U2 by miles. Bad

Another video-embedding discovery: if the youtube URL contains a forum smiley code you can embed the video, but if you edit the post the forum will change it to a smiley. When I edited just above, the Romantics URL went from "zLO 0SdYRCMM" (with no space) to "zL:ph34r:SdYRCMM" and the video broke. Fixed now, but be careful.

As "Don't Stop Believin'" is the worst song in the game, it doesn't matter what the opponent is.
Oh, and Beatles, Romantics and Ramones.

Van Halen - Got to give it to the flashy one.
Lucy.
Lenny Kravitz
Ramones - Got to go with the punky one. Not as keen on U2's prettiest stuff.
