Your Top 20 Metal songs

To be honest I am not much of a metal fan so my list will be limited to the metal artist that I do listen to. I can't limit it to one per artist because then it wouldn't be my actual 20 favorite songs.

Iron Maiden - Phantom Of The Opera
Slayer - Jesus Saves
Metallica - Disposable Heroes
Metallica - Leper Messiah
Iron Maiden - The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
Tool - Roetta Stoned
Death - Beyond The Unholy Grave
Iron Maiden - Total Eclipse
Slayer - Anti-Christ
Black Sabbath - Megalomania
Black Sabbath - The Writ
Tool - Lateralus
Iron Maiden - Nomad
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Metallica - Metal Militia
Black Sabbath - Fairies Wear Boots
Slayer - Spill The Blood
Iron Maiden - Book Of Souls
Danzig - I Don't Mind The Pain
Iron Maiden - When The Wild Wind Blows

Since the GMSC is on and while I'm a bit late to the party to nominate any songs, I decided to make this thread.

Pick ONLY one song by a band and you may include a Maiden song as well!

Awesome list, man! You've got some incredible deep cuts here. Seeing "The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner" as your Maiden pick is a massive win, that synth-era intro is criminally underrated. Also, respect for choosing "A Skeleton In The Closet" from Anthrax and "Spirit Crusher" (Chuck’s riffs on that whole album are flawless).
Since I'm also late to the GMSC party, here are a few of my absolute "one song per band" tracks that would clear my Top 20:
  • Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name (Classic, but that live legacy is unbeatable)
  • Megadeth - Tornado of Souls (Marty's solo is pure magic)
  • Metallica - Creeping Death (The ultimate live energy track)
  • Judas Priest - Beyond the Realms of Death (Since you picked Painkiller, I’ll go with their ultimate heavy ballad)
  • Pantera - Domination (That breakdown at the end still hits like a truck)
  • Black Sabbath - Into the Void
  • Death - Crystal Mountain
Incredibly solid taste, mate. Looking forward to how the GMSC shapes up!
