We've had this topic before plenty of times, but with the anticipation for a new Maiden tour, I feel like the best way for board members to get to know each other is to start talking about what our favourite Maiden songs are. Feel free to post your lists, but also don't be shy to tell us why you like these songs in particular! And when you're done, why not give us your ranking of the Maiden albums and let us know what your favourite non-Maiden bands are?

My list is as follows:

1. The Educated Fool
2. Hallowed Be Thy Name
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. The Evil That Men Do
5. The Trooper
6. Lord of the Flies
7. Killers
8. No More Lies
9. Caught Somewhere in Time
10. Brave New World
 
Without too much thought/effort going into to:
  1. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
  2. Infinite Dreams
  3. Sign of the Cross
  4. Powerslave
  5. When the Wild Wind Blows
  6. The Clansman
  7. Revelations
  8. The Number of the Beast
  9. Phantom of the Opera
  10. Blood Brothers
 
It's been a long time, so I guess it is indeed time to revisit these. Hard to choose, but I think I can get this into a rough order.

1. Paschendale
2. Powerslave
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
5. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
6. Aces High
7. Ghost of the Navigator
8. Sign of the Cross
9. The Book of Souls
10. Hallowed Be Thy Name

Mine is as follows:
  1. The Evil That Men Do
  2. The Book of Souls
  3. Caught Somewhere in Time
  4. Powerslave
  5. Ghost of the Navigator
  6. For the Greater Good of God
  7. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
  8. Hallowed Be Thy Name
  9. Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
  10. Hell On Earth
1, 3, 4, 5 and 9 holding particular special places in my mind for being among the first Maiden songs I heard, their shine hasn't worn off after nearly 14 years.
 
1. Hallowed Be Thy Name. This has been my favourite as long as I can remember and I doubt that will ever change.
2. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
3. Phantom of the Opera. The instrumental starting with Dave's first solo is possibly Maiden's best. I love the way the song builds up again. Pure magic.
4. Infinite Dreams
5. Children of the Damned. Maybe fifth is too high, but from here on the songs are roughly equal. Children of the Damned was the song that got me interested in Maiden so it's a special song for me. One of Bruce's best performances also.
6. Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
7. Paschendale
8. Revelations
9. Powerslave
10. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

We can assume that ~5 songs will be mentioned very often:

Something like this. Most of these songs have been in my top 10 almost since the beginning, TBOS and ATG being perhaps the only exceptions.

This is fairly brutal, because I'd rate about 17 of Maiden's songs as 10/10. But as of this moment, my best guess would be:

3. The Longest Day
4. Out Of The Shadows
5. Hell On Earth
6. Wasted Years
7. The Number Of The Beast
8. Can I Play With Madness
9. 2 Minutes To Midnight
10. Infinite Dreams
 
These are listed chronologically, don't know how I would actually rank them in order of preference.
