Your current Maiden ‘kick’

For lack of better thread (that I could find), last week according to my Spotify listening stats, I listened to maiden for 78 HOURS, IN ONE WEEK.
During covid i listened the full discography witthout skipping a song, from album 1 to last one. It was interesting to find some instrumental parts that i have forgotten.

We had a fun exercise where we did that for one album per day 16 days before Senjutsu. It reaffirmed some things I thought but also revolutionized some others I didn't. I hope there can be a similar one for an eventual next album

All the albums in the same day? I think i did it in a few days. Just the studio albums.

No, not one day, but rather one a day for 16 days.

I.e. if album 18 is released in January 18th, we listened to Iron Maiden on January 1st, Killers on January 2, The Number of the Beast on January 3, etc.

Excluding BOS and Senjutsu which I probably don't know as well. Maybe exclude TFF too as around that time I briefly fell out of love with Maiden and didn't listen to them for a few years.

It always astounds me when I listen to some forgotten Maiden song like Chains of Misery, The Unbeliever or Gates of Tomorrow and how I can pretty much still remember the whole song. Like how the solo is going to go, the key changes etc.

There's been years I haven't listened to Maiden that much and yet in the past I listened to their full discography (Bruce, Blaze and Paul) in the background on repeat so much that I just remember it all.

Not a testament to me having a good memory but rather just how much I listened to Iron Maiden.

Tell us one that you think more positive more of after, and one you think more negative of more after :)

I’ve been listening to En Vivo a lot during the past few weeks. I haven’t listened to it in ages.
Best sounding drums of their live albums if you ask me

I have not listened to a whole album recently. I pick songs according to my mood. These days I have found myself listening to epics like Death of the Celts, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Dream of Mirrors, Phantom of the Opera, and singles like Wicker Man, Stratego, and Speed of Light.
