Anyone else here suprised at how slow and "tame" these versions are on Metal for Muthas?
I remember when I bought the vinyl back in the early 90's (many years before you could find songs on Youtube!) and being somewhat suprised at how much slower and 'groovier' Wrathchild was in particular.
I would have expected them to be quite a lot rougher and maybe even 'punkier'.
During that time the band sounded a lot more like they did in early '80 if you listen to the Ruskin Arms bootleg from October '79, for example. More energetic and raw.
I guess the same could be said for Running Free that appeared on Axe Attack.
