Define metal guitars. Loud and distorted guitar is also used in punk rock, for example. The same goes for high speed riffs (although they are generally quite simple in punk).

I would consider BFMV "emo metal". I think the person who said calling BFMV Metal was "Generous" was really just stating that they suck. I don't like Bullet either but they are most certainly metal. And that type of argument really makes it sound like you believe that any music besides metal sucks. And that is a very close minded way to think about things.
