Looks like there will be plenty of bands to choose from in the tiebreaker round. From Group G, Sabaton and Porcupine Tree go through.
Group H is the final group of qualifiers.
Vote against as many bands as you wish. The four bands with the least amount of votes will advance.

Armoured Saint
Black Country Communion
Cannibal Corpse
Def Leppard
Emerson Lake and Palmer
Extreme
Meshuggah
Metalchurch
Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Whitesnake

The topic is 22 minutes old and has already 3 votes against Metal Church? And some of these people are even into heavy shit.

I like Metalchurch but I voted against everybody except the two I most want to go through.
I think more people are thinking this way — votes against have gotten larger as the game has gone on.
@Ariana, I think you forgot to click.

Everything except RHCP and Soundgarden.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer is a band held in high regard in prog rock community but I they're one of the most pretentious bands ever. Which is a shame because Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer are fantastic musicians on their own.

I am doing that with all the bands I most want to go through and mostly that number is bigger than 2.

The four bands with the least amount of votes will advance.
So no excuses Mckindog! :D

Everything except Armored Saint, BCC, and Soundgarden.

Have you guys even heard Armored Saint? Such a sadly unheard of and underrated band.

I'm doing it wherever the cutoff is on my like scale.
There are two bands in this group I like a lot, and one of them is a longshot to advance.
Any vote for any other group is a vote against that group.

I listened to Armoured Saint a few years ago. Does anyone remember that Pandora radio thing? It introduced me to Blind Guardian and Saxon as well as Armoured Saint but I haven't listened to Armoured Saint in years. At some point I'll listen to them again properly, but not now though. :P

I found out something cool: you can close the spoiler tags and still listen to the music from Youtube.

Pandora helped me find many bands. It was like the Napster of the 2010's for me. I can't say I found that many metal bands, but blues/rock/soul, absolutely.

And as for Armored Saint, they were once my favorite band of all time and are definitely worth a listen. Just pick up a copy of Symbol of Salvation (very classic metal) or Revelation (darker and more groovy), you will not be sorry.

This reasoning only make sense is you entirely not care about your third and fourth band. That is of course for you to decide.

I also look at scale of bands I distinctly find worse than my third (and fourth) pick.

edit: to be honest, I am not in love with any of these bands, but if I had expected all these Metal Church votes, I would (or better: should) have done the same as you: vote for all others.

I don't know about pretentious, but yea not a fan of ELP despite my love of prog. I've heard all their classic albums and while they have some good tunes here and there, it was often way too much.
