What's Your favourite Judas Priest Album?

Painkiller, but not because of the heaviness, necessarily.

I LOVE Judas Priest, but one thing they have always had trouble with is consistency. While it's true, you can't really go wrong from Sad Wings through Defenders (and I would keep Point of Entry, because Heading to the Highway and Desert Plains are amazing), the fact is Priest has sooooooo much filler in their catalogue.

Painkiller for me is the most consistent listen all of the way through, with several touches of brilliance.

Metal Meltdown really is the only one that does nothing for me on that album. Any other priest album I can find at least two.

Metal Meltdown is my favourite from that album. :D

And Painkiller, Sin After Sin and Sad Wings are the most consistent, I'd say. ;)

Blood Stone and Devil's Child contain simple, non-melodic and repetitive choruses which are even interchangeable (the music). Can't really feel what's great about that. However this part in Devil's Child ...

You took my heart
And left it blown to smithereens
I gave my body as a slave
You cut my flesh
And drank my blood that poured in streams
I'm left here broken and ashamed

... is one of the highlights of the album (even though I don't care about the lyrical content).  :rocker:

Painkiller by far. I just love the speed of the album, along with Rob's high shrieks to accompany the speed. Sad Wings of Destiny would come in second.

I don't really like Bloodstone, but Devil's Child is my fav Priest and I personally think it kills YGATC, Breaking the Law, and anything else they've put out, besides my other favorites Night Crawler and Killing Machine.

Nope, apart from Jeffmetal, no one mentioned them, but I can if you like. ;)

I like Take These Chains, but Pain & Pleasure I find duller.

I really dig Bloodstone's solos and the way Halford sings the verses. The chorus could've used some work.

Nostradamus, followed by Painkiller followed by... Either Screaming f.or Vengeance of Defenders of the Faith.
