No, ATHF (along with the rest of Adult Swim) is extremely dumb. But it's great anyways.

It took me a couple of viewings but I agree with stranger, while it may not be "smart" or "intelligent" in the Nova, Discovery, History channel sort of vein, it is sheer genius as far as other toons go.

I was just thinking that the other day... Most of the cartoon shows I watch now (most of it on adult swim) rely on randomness for their comedy, of course timing is still essential but random nonetheless.
 
I'm getting sick of Family Guy's ramdom-style humor. Ya know, where one character says something and it cuts to some random scene inspired by the character's dialogue? Yeah, that gets old.
 
I still find family guy to be hilarious.

Doctor: Well Rudolf we finally figured out what makes your nose red.
Rudolf: Is it pixie dust or Leprechaun tails?
Doctor: No its a tumor.
Rudolf: You mean, like a magical Christmas tumor?
Doctor: No a malignant tumor the base of which is lodged deep within your brain.

I think that is what defines family guy and keeps it fresh.

What keeps making me laugh and hard is the Indian Casino episode, the very end. "Yeah that's more than we ever got from those free loading Canadians" Screen goes black "What? Canada sucks."
