Discuss.

Those kids are too young to know anything about Communism or the Nazis, whose flag they have ripped off.

They see the hammer and sickle as something which is painted on cool-looking Soviet military hardware in movies from the 1970's and 1980's. Since the people with that symbol fought the Americans, they're automatically heros in the eyes of these kids.

I would hazzard to guess they're European, most likely Germans.

If that is so, you have to admire their efficiency - they're offending the victims of the Nazis AND the victims of the Soviet holocaust all at once! hurrah!

They are Russians.

You occasionally see images and footage with this imagery from Russia.

Wow....so much for my stereotypes!

I dunno what to make of it then [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Yeah, they remind me of the kids who beat up my brother with baseball bats because he had long hair.

When I see those kids, the first thing that comes to my mind is: ignorant arseholes. [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/huh.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'huh.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Beauty in the eye of the beholder. If a Nazi was shown this picture hed be overjoyed.

But...yeah. Its just kids being prats really, yeah.

Those kind of kids are also the ones who get into metal for the sole purpose of looking 'rebellious' and 'cool'. Pricks like those ruin metal and give it a bad name. Abusing an art form for an image. On a more positive note 7th Son, thanks for the recommendation of DragonForce! I got Valley Of The Damned instead of Sonic Firestorm because it was the only one there but what the hell, it kicks ass!

Those things happen outside of Romania? My brother got his ass kicked a couple of times for having long hair, and when I had long hair, peple used to pick on me. Especially Gypsies... whats there to discuss about
they have never even experienced communism so for them that probably listened to stories of old communist party members how great it was in communism cause you didn't have to work but you'd still get the paycheck cause no one was being sacked, that represent some express of unhappiness with current living standards.
there are shitloads of 13,14 year old commusism sympathisers here as well........the ones i knew got over the idea when they grew up a bit and got to know what it was like in communism
imo it has nothing to do with rebellion against usa. you know not everything is about usa. usa is not the centre of the universe

They were skinheads. He was beaten black and blue and had a few minor injuries. They also humiliated him in front of his girlfriend.

Agreed.

As for the centre of universe, it's Adrian Smith.

Even in the middle of such a discussion, Adrian Smith makes an appearance. Uncanny! [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

True, but no more uncanny than the attempts to estabilish the centre of the universe. Or the brains of some primitives, violent or ignorant. [!--emo&:(--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I think Maiden Madness got the point... Even here there are ppl (usually about as old as my grandma who's 80) that remember the "glorious days of communism" when "Ceasescu built so much, they coudn't even paint all of the buildings". It's not hard to see how kids from poor areas could be impressed by such tales. Somehow, they forgot to tell them how they had to wait in line for food for hours, not even knowing if htey were going to get anything at all, how they feared talking anything about the great communist party, afraid not to be turned in by some "friends"...

Being seen as a communist is cool to a kid, not an adult so I think that these children posed for this photo for a laugh and to look cool. I do not think they are hardcore socialists or even know the history/ story of communism, they think that by standing in front of a flag, they look cool.

But what do you think of the fact that this is basically the flag the nazis used, with the swastika replaced by hammer and sickle?

Uh, i Think they can't tell the diference between communism and extreme right [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/unsure.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'unsure.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
