Wales

I've been to Llangollen, that was nice, but I seem to remember a lot of gift shops and touristy stuff. I liked the Monmouth border area better. Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia are supposed to be amazing.
The former industrial areas don't have a lot going for them, although some of my Welsh friends might disagree

Thank you! Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire are certainly mustsee, but we'll also read into the other stuff you mentioned.

I've been to Wales several times. The best place in Wales is Tenby on the south coast. It still has the old walls surrounding the town and there's a massive beach. The place is best enjoyed in sunshine but, of course, in Britain that cannot be guaranteed.

Thanks Black Wizard and you too Ariana for the cool pic! :)

We're not much for the beach but we like old walls. Conwy has them too.

Snowdonia is highly recommended, but be prepared for the possibility of not seeing any of the spectacular views due to heavy fog. ;)

I would also recommend hiking along the coast, which is spectacular.
