USA Politics

@Vaenyr is banned from replying to this thread for 30 days. We'll see what happens then.

To all the rest of you: @Azas, @Jer, @____no5: Will you finally behave like adults? I'm fucking tired of you.
I’m trying not to be such a burning match (not sure if that’s noticeable from the outside). But when there are polar opposite opinions, it’s hard to resist the urge to respond in the heat of the moment. And yeah, it’s easy to channel all of that online—the forum becomes a lightning rod, struck again and again.

@Vaenyr, I guess now you’ve got time to host the next round of the Album Art Cup.

I just caught the tail end of a discussion on national TV about today’s release of some emails related to Trump, etc. One moment really caught my attention: so… the Democrats apparently sat on the Jeffrey Epstein files for about four years, didn’t release them, and didn’t bury Trump with them. And now all this political circus is going on. That was a big WTF moment for me. If they were sitting on a gold nugget, why didn’t they use it? Most likely there’s not enough material to bring Trump down legally—only morally and ethically. If there is, then what the hell?

This post is not one inch pro-Trump. I’m just going “WTF.” I’ve seen photos and videos of Trump with Epstein—so it’s very possible something bad was going on. Also allegedly Epstein consulted russian officials on how to “read” Trump. One more possibility: the russians really do have something on him.

So now everyone is screaming “release Epstein files!” Hello Democrats—why didn’t you release them when you had the political power? WTH? And again, it sounds like I’m attacking Democrats more than felon Trump—but it’s really a legitimate question. Why? Maybe I’m missing some circumstances about those files?

Edit: Oh, and Trump also screwed up royally when, during his presidential campaign, he promised to release those files—but now isn’t doing what he promised. That looks really bad for him PR-wise.

Because, no doubt, there are high profile Democrats in those files, too.

Release the files. Imprison them all. Give all their money to the victims. Fuck all pedophiles.

Azas does have a point. To my knowledge, Bill Clinton's the highest-profile Dem politician in there and I imagine there was a certain amount of wagon-circling to make sure he's protected. Be gone with him and good riddance.

There was another email I believe of either NBC or the New York Times getting pitched by Epstein himself of Trump's connection to him back in 2015 or early 2016, media evidently sat on that too. Ignorance/inaction is complicity.

Despite some skirmishes here and there, the Gaza cease fire is generally still holding, and almost all of the outstanding hostage remains have been returned. Pretty remarkable, and I have to give Trump credit for pulling it off. Ironically, if it weren’t for his corrupt and self-serving relationships with multiple Arab countries, this probably wouldn’t have been possible.

Speaking of corruption, it sounds like the Georgia election interference case against Trump will move ahead with a different prosecutor installed. Since these are state charges, Trump can’t pardon his way out of danger. Hopefully we can get at least a little bit of justice out of this.

To me, it looks like Trump is lurking on this forum. He responded to us—reflected on yesterday’s discussion.

Hmm, which user could it be… someone polar opposite to his true self. No. 5? Vaenyr, is that you? :D

I can keep going...

Yes, you might want to include some Hamas-related violence as well.

I already clearly acknowledged the skirmishes that are still happening. I’m talking about sticking to the cease fire framework at the macro level — that doesn’t appear to be collapsing despite these other outbreaks of violence.

"I love Virus. We all love Virus, don't we? Many people tell me 'Sir, we love the Virus. The Virus is great.' We love the Bane Bayley."
Many people are saying, terrific people are saying it, that Iron Maiden treated Blaze Bayley so badly. They threw him out like a dog, and it was so unfair, what they did to him. They tell me "sir, you've got to do something about Blaze Bayley", and we're going to help him out, he's a friend of mine and he sings so well, almost as well as me. I know a lot about singing. It's a great instrument, the voice, and I use it a lot. They call it "the voice" and I guess I have a natural talent with voices.

Sad!

So I watched a podcast (from my country) with a guest who follows U.S. politics. Here’s what I heard:

Republicans.

As of now, there are two possible candidates: Vance and Rubio. Vance is much more like Trump — America First. Rubio’s stance is more restrained and balanced.

There are even more hardcore Republicans who think Trump is too soft. Including regarding Europe, etc.

There’s Nick Fuentes (far-right), his ideas, and the imbeciles who follow him. They cultivate Nazi and antisemitic ideas. Do they want to destroy the system as such? These are very concerning people. They must be contained somehow.

Democrats.

There are two major branches: socialists à la Mamdani (far-left) and more centrist “Abundance” Democrats. As of now, I don’t know which politician represents them. Gavin Newsom is popular mostly in California, just like Mamdani is mostly popular in New York.

I think “Abundance” Democrats (more centrist) are the way to go. My only other option, if Rubio doesn’t screw up — a level-headed Republican may have a chance. I can imagine Rubio as one of those in a Trump administration who doesn’t want to completely alienate Europe. Between the Hammer and the Anvil!

Also, there’s a clear trend in the USA that is becoming very problematic: oppressors and toxic masculinity bearers (sarcasm on) — young men. By the numbers, more of them are without university education (women are leading). They lack a clear outlook, money, and a place in society to some extent. This trend is very problematic and hard to solve.

Of course, I don’t mean that women should be stripped of their rights so that men feel better, I’ve just heard about this new trend that is rising as a problem, and these men without prospects can be radicalized very easily.

Also, I’m pretty baffled that U.S. institutions are doing nothing (or I’m not seeing it) about corruption in the Trump administration. Those shady things about gifts, crypto purchases to enrich the Trump family, etc. Bannon knows what he’s talking about: “We’ll all be in jail if we lose the next elections.” It seems as if democratic institutions stopped functioning when Trump came to power. He decapitated (fired) those who opposed him, and now he’s free to do what he wants. In this aspect, the U.S. now is very similar to russia. (I know corruption and bribes exist in all countries — in mine and in Ukraine.) But from the U.S. I expected better.

2026 elections — Blue Wave coming. Ah, only then will Trump’s shady deals be prosecuted.

So, am I well enough informed? A? B? 10? 9? F??

I understand that i oversimplified many things.
