Yea the bass is the one thing that keeps me from listening to the album very much in the first place. Never heard the remix though, I'll have to check that out.

It's a revelation. He actually plays some very good basslines that got totally buried.

RTL > AFJA > MOP for me. Puppets has better songwriting than Justice but the sound is too dry. Despite lacking my favorite instrument in a rock band, AFJA has fantastic rhythms that make up for it.

Newsted is still audible in AFJA at most times, just not Steve Harris levels of loud.
