Er, no offense to anyone... but why'd you recommend a song you don't actually like? o_O
Was this not the problem with the whole track collection thread in the first place? It just looked like a total instrumentals dump thread, with people simply naming instrumentals by bands irrespective of whether they were any good or not.

The Echo Song
: An interesting, if fairly well known, guitar piece. I quite like it's dancey sound.
Morbid Angel: This track was just okay for me; nothing new really.
Vote goes with Gilbert (#9).
Chase the Ace: Pretty catchy, but a bit too rock guitar for me. The improvised lead work is also not to my taste.
Dokken: This track was far, far more interesting. George Lynch is (like Gilbert) a great guitarist.
Vote goes with Lynch (#12).

Not the case with me. I only named the songs I really like.
I'm actually just kinda reiterating what Foro already said:
Of course I am happy with people giving input. However, I'd like to say something else about it as well:
Sometimes it feels as if some people are mentioning all the instrumentals they know from their favourite artists.
Still, we've started now; so I don't think we should tinker too much more.

Not the case with me either. I could've named dozens more as instrumentals that I love. My two favorite genres (prog rock, jazz fusion) produce a staggering amount of instrumental music, so...

10 and 12.

That Paul Gilbert song was so annoying, that I'm voting for 10 out of pure spite (because, really, it's not that great of a tune either and ultimately is underdeveloped).

Chase the Ace is boring as hell and sounds like a C-side that should have been scrapped when Brian decided he didn't want to write vocals over it. Mr. Scary is actually pretty cool. That main guitar harmony is simple, but really near and creepy. Also, it reminds me of something that I can't put my finger on...
